Okay slowly now look at the word in the web site name. Or is that two words....? :p

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

OMG I have got to be more observant! Geesh, that is awful!

You are da bomb! :lmao:

ohhhhhhh. It's like one of those black and white drawings, that if you look at it one way it's an eagle in flight and if you look at it the other way it's a wrinkled old lady.

just like that kim! :lmao: I am still laughing Lou! no wonder I want out!

Well I didn't mean to be offensive. There was recently a list of professions as websites (I think Ed might have posted them) that when taken as websites were, how shall we say, less than desirable if read as separate words. For some reason this one stuck in my head and when the OP mentioned your profession well you know me......

No offense taken! Geesh, they need to rename that website! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: I am still laughing!

I think it is twice as funny because you needed to hit some of us over the head with it. I am always good for entertainment at parties because I have a time delay for getting most jokes, which other people always seem to find funny...

Good night all my viking buddies.

We need some good viking phrases...

how about je elske de

my spelling may be off, pronounced yey el-skay day

it means i love you

Hey my fellow Maelstromers!

I have a dilemma. I took my daughter shopping last night for a mother's day gift (she's got very expensive tastes by the way). She picked out a necklace with a mother and child charm with a diamond. I tried to steer her towards a heart that was rung with diamonds but she said the diamonds were too small. So her mother. Anyway, after I paid for the deal she picked out and the lady wrapped it for me and we got home it occured to me that I bought my wife something very similar, if not exactly the same thing, three years ago.

What do I do? Do I take the new one back? Let my wife open it and then let her go pick out something new? Tell my daughter what happened and take her with me to return it and buy something different? Do nothing and hope no one notices? Or hop on a moped and break wind? :moped:

Women (you know who you are): what would you want your husband to do?

Okay, I know you posted this a few pages back but when you leave for a few hours and come back to 24 pages, this is what happens.

So ZZUB, first let me say that I am impressed. Okay, is the gift meant to be from you or her? Or you and her? If your DD is insistant on that particular necklace, and it sounds like she is, I say let her give it to Mom. Like Horsey said, you could explain the situation to your wife later and she could exchange it on the sly if she wanted, but I'd be willing to bet she doesn't. As a Mom, it wouldn't matter to me if I already had one that looked similar to it, as long as I knew my child hand picked it, that would be all that mattered.

Sounds like she'll have a great Mother's Day. How could she not? She's obviously loved very much.

Now go find a moped and break wind that doesn't smell like roses and money. :moped:

I am going to put Chappie on ignore. Unless he says something very witty and funny soon. No more bank talk.

You wound me. You mean to say discussing the intricacies of the time period within which one may return a debit pull as unauthorized is not humorous? I am shocked, nay, astounded that you would not find it so.

Okay, it is a teensy bit dry. But Haley, you know I loves you -- even if you are a dualist living in a one-reality, Aristotlean paradise. Or, you know, maybe not so much. Okay, so Aristotle was a little dry too. Sheesh, I have GOT to get new material ...

BTW, LaLa, I finally watched last week's Lost episode (still haven't watched this weeks). Wow, that's all I can say. Wow -- I never saw that coming at all.

Hey Chappie my late night buddy.

((((((((((((slap))))))))))))))))

It was good, wasn't it? But just wait till you see this week's. You can watch the entire episode online at abc.com and I had to hit the highlights again today. Might as well face it, I'm addicted to Lost....

You know, I question the value of a society in which Robert Palmer was a rock star, even for a brief moment. That's all I'm saying. Go to sleep, my fair Teletubbie.

I can see why you ladies find him Simply Irresistable.

Good morning!

Well, I must say it is getting a little easier to catch up in the mornings when I get into the office. We're slowin' down people! (Well, sometimes......)

Anyway, Lala, your mother's day post was beautiful.

ZZUB, why do I always miss your drive-by postings? You've probably already made your decision....but I say, you know your daughter best, so only you can judge how she feels about this gift, and her role in the picking of it. My gut would be to give your wife a heads up, let her open it and gush, then if it's exactly the same as the other one, either keep it anyway (I would), or wear the first one, claiming it's one and the same, and return the 2nd for something different. Honestly, though, it REALLY is the thought that counts, especially when it's a 4 year old's thought!! And, as Horsegirl (I think) said, the homemade cards are the best part!!

2IAB, what a great story about your 7 year old. That book will be a livelong treasure for you! I love that stuff.

Oh, and since no one has said it yet, HAPPY FRIDAY! :bounce:

I guess it must have been a very late night for the chatters ;)

Good morning ladies, whenever you wake up :sunny:

Yes, I was thinking that the chatting is why this board has been quieter at night.........

Good morning, all. Another slow Friday at work today - I imagine I'll have to take off early just to get through it ;)
