I hope you have that flame retardant suit near by :teeth:
Isn't Rhonda home still? How can you be getting in trouble already? Men just can not be left alone. They're liable to hurt themselves. :rotfl:

You are so right. That is exactly what I thought when I read what he was posting.

Listen up, fellow Maelstromers: I know my political views (and MarkyMark's) are in the minority here. I have no desire to discuss politics with any of you. I'm all about Disney, Vomit, Poop and Thongs! Well, not so much the vomit and poop. Perhaps the TF would like to bestow a tag upon me: I'm all about the Disney Thong! Hard to explain to Wesley, but true, all the same.

The gas stories are pretty funny, though!

MarkyfartyMark....funny funny funny story! Mexican toots stink the worst too! (well, maybe not as bad as egg toots). I'm throwing up a little in my mouth right now.

No, no, no Chilli farts are the best!!!

MarkyfartyMark.......this one's for you :rotfl2:

But where do the ears go? You know what, never mind -- I'm not sure I want to know. Hi Rhonda!

Ohhhh...a shart might be THE worst though.

MarkyfartyMark...you might have a new name!

Does anyone else notice that Chapter 11 (still not using his nickname, ahem!) only speaks to me when thongs are involved? Just sayin'... :rolleyes2

I'm sorry, I know I said no more, but I am crying this is so funny!

Bobby's Comic Release
I was the men's basketball manager at the University of Toledo (Ohio) in the late 1980's. During a road trip to Kent State University, the funniest hot air story I have personally seen took place.

A constant traveling companion with our team during the 87-88 season was Bobby Grainey. Bobby was in his late 20's and he suffered from Down's Syndrome. He is a wonderful person.

On a frigid January weekend the Rockets traveled over to Kent State to play the Golden Flashes. Bobby traveled with us even though he was suffering from a terrible stomach virus.

I was one of the mangers for the team and Bobby helped us out, his father was a big booster with the athletic department so Bobby was a constant companion.

Bobby usually took the teams warmups back into the lockeroom and would then come out and sit with us on the bench. This day Bobby was pretty sick so I told him that after taking the warmups into the locker room that he should just stretch out and rest until the game was over.

The game went very badly for the Rockets this day we scored like 15 point in the first half on our way to getting beat by like 30.

The team came back into the lockeroom after getting crushed and our head coach, Jay Eck, began to vent his splein over the horrible way the team had played. I was busy taking care of post game manager jobs. I saw that Bobby was in the row of stalls behind where Coach Eck was standing but I kept on doing my job.

The coach was pretty upset at the players and he continued to yell and scream. During a moment of silence between tirades Bobby Grainey released one of the loudest and longest periods of flatulence that I have ever heard, at least 10 second. When Bobby finished he said (in the voice of a Down's syndrome victim) "Oooooh that feel better".

The assistant coaches stepped back into a hall way so coach Eck couldn't see them crack up. Most of the players were shaking with silent laughter, not wanting the head coach to know they were laughing. I had to throw a towel to every player so they could cover their face, I joined the assistant coaches in the hall way laughing.

Coach Eck finished quickly after this release of noxious gas. I never knew for sure but I figure he left the locker room to laugh like the rest of us did as soon as he left.

When Bobby came out of the stall he was greeted with a huge round of applause from the players and assistant coaches. We were very angry and hurt at the way we were beaten but Bobby gave us a laugh with his flatulence that I will never forget.

Blessings!

Yeah, what YAK said, about the purple dots I mean.

I am going to keep talking about purple dots so that I don't have to engage on the political non-debate. (Being highly political, I find it unwise for me to talk politics here. How backwards is that? Skaters, change directions!)

I can't believe Mark is trying to use politics as a way to drive off his unwanted cyber-girlfriends. Isn't that just like a man to try and get the girls to break up with him so that he can feel no guilt about it?

You wound me. I also pipe up when you insist on singing songs from sappy 70s crooners:

When you get caught between the Moon and New York City
I know it's crazy, but it's true

I'm still not sure what that means .....

Oh, PUH-LEEZE! I can see right through that thinly veiled disguise. This is what all the boys do to break up with girls - pick a fight about something bizarre, get the girl to break up with you, then you get to walk away guilt free.

I know that's the only reason you would throw politics out here. Otherwise I might think that you actually want to get into it, and THAT could turn messy and ugly. And none of us want that. So this really must be a lame excuse to break up with your cyber-girlfriends. And since I'm not one of them, I can see this for what it is.

Really . . .

I hate to interrupt the merriment with a fairly serious post but I thought it would be good to remind everyone that they need to be careful about posting personally identifying information about themselves or others on this board.

The Dis is a public board and you never know who may read one of your posts, there are alot of strange people out there (and a few in here too). We may joke about stalking but that is a very real possibility on the internet.

If you don't think the information here is public just do a Google search for maelstrom fastpass. Anything that you post can turn up on an internet search engine.

So please do not post anyones real name unless it is very common knowledge (i.e., it is in their sig or they have regularly posted it themselves). There are some people who do not want their real name (even if it is just their first name) to appear in any posts so please respect their wishes. If in doubt just use their screen name.

Be careful about providing too much information about where you live, this can make you very easy to find if someone is so inclined to do some research.

Do not post your e-mail address (unless it is a throw away), the spammers use bots that search message boards for e-mail addresses. If you need to give someone your e-mail address do it via PM.

Please remember that if you provide a link that has your name in it that it will be visible to anyone that sees the post. This includes links to pictures on sites such as Photobucket. If you don't think it can be seen just click on Reply to a post with a pic, you will see the full url in the IMG code. You can also right click on any pic and select copy image location.

I am not trying to scare anyone, just reminding you to be careful here and elsewhere on the internet.

Ok, you can now return to the non-serious stuff :thumbsup2

Thanks jw for the reminder. We often need a reality check. Makes us all stop and think twice about some of what we say.

Each kid's different, obviously, with regards to their experience with WDW. We took our DS who turned three while down there, and he LOVED the characters. We tested him out a couple of times at Chuck E Cheese's in order to see how he handled being around a 6 foot rat.

My 4 year old son will hang out with Mickey and his pals any day of the week but, he sees even a square inch of good ole' Chuck E Cheese's fur and screams BLOODY murder. He won't even consider going to his friends birthday party because it is at CEC.

The last time we went 'there' he and I talked at length on the way about Chuck being Mickey's friend, Santa's friend and even good buddies with the Easter Bunny. We had someone go ahead and verify no parties going on, it was all worked out. :thumbsup2 Then as soon as we got in the door, guess who shows up? Yep, the big Cheese. :furious:
My ears are still ringing from that visit.

Boy this thread came to a crashing halt! What's up with that? I was on a roll!

Blessings!

Spectrum_turbo--> i'm sorry about your hampster dying, will you guys get another one or not? we don't have any pets yet and our kids are so small, i don't know how you deal with a pet dying.

I just talked to DS8's teacher and he has been a littel quiet today and the 4 year old has been upset on and off all day. So,we are going to wait a couple of weeks before geting another.

I will tell you a funny story about DS8 and a dog we had when he was a baby.

We got a dog from the pound a couple of years before DS was born. The dog (Zoro) was pretty passive, let DS crawl on him and never so much as twitched. Well, the dog got out one night when DS 13 months old and was hit by a car and killed. Since DS was so young, we were still relatively new parents and there seemed to be no concern from DS about the lack of a dog at our house, we said nothing to DS (another "Proud Parenting Moment" brought to you by spectrum-turbo!).
Flash forward, as DS is about to turn two & a friend of ours offers to get DS another dog for his birthday. DH and I agree. We tell him about the dog and I ask him what he will name her. He looks at me and with just a hint of duh says "Puppy". O.K. Puppy it is, I named a turtle 47 when I was a toddler, so I had no room for argument. :confused3
Another day or two goes by and we are talking about Puppy and how much fun it will be yada, yada and the he asks, almost a FULL year later :hourglass , "Where's the other dog?" After quizzing him about what dog, mostly to buy time while I figure out what to do/say, I determine he is in fact asking where Zoro is. I told him the dog was with the angels, he said "o.k." and we have never spoken of Zoro again.

Disclaimer: I've never been on the DDP (I will be in October though!), so I may or may not know what the heck I'm talking about.

If I understand correctly, there are purple dots on the menu boards, etc. to denote DDP snack items. As of yesterday, a LOT of new snack items have been added, so there lots more purple dots.

There is even talk that the Dole Whip is a snack item now. I'm thinkin' that may be an urban legend. Time will tell!

HTH!
