This is a company owned PC, they have have it locked down tighter than I would care to describe on this board. I can live without some smilies until the day it dies, then I will buy my own (WHERE I HAVE ADMINISTRATOR PRIVILEDGES) In the meantime, i will post pretend gushing weeps, but thanks, JW. I'm afraid if I try to download another browser I will be totally locked out.

It sounds like they have it locked down tighter than it needs to be, and if they are that security concious then they should be having you use Firefox instead of IE. I don't want to get you in trouble so I will not tell you how to get around what they have set up. The next time you see one of your IT people you should ask them why you aren't using Firefox as your default browser.

Thanks, JW, I am just grateful I got online here and got yahoo. Wouldn't have had yahoo without the help of a very nice tech that broke the rules (LOVE YOU TECH!). I do have a home computer, but daugher decided she had the rights to it and moved it to HER room. Who died and made her Queen???
Anyway, minor annoyances so far, if the worst happens, I have my credit card ready to head to the nearest computer store.

Talk of a bad day!! WEEKS ago I made an appt. to get my license renewed after 16 years!!!!!!!!!!! Safe driver, all that, they just sent me renewals. SO this appt just fell on my last vacation day. No biggie, I think, it's not too far. No test, just vision and hearing, and I see just fine except for reading glasses, $16 at drug store.
HAH! Couldnt read the first 4 letters of 12 in a row. They sent me back with tail between my legs to get a form filled out by eye dr. My far vision is PERFECT, I tell you. So now I have to go see an Ophtomologist for something I dont need, and it spoiled my day. Plus it was raining all day.

Grammy, I will have a liter of Cognac please!!!!!

Piper is looking a little Marcia Brady. ("OH! My nose!") Well, not that bad, but it's swollen and a bit b&B. I called the doc and they said to give her ibuprofen, ice it off and on for 48 hrs, and that's it. They asked if she lost consciousness and if she could breathe thru her nose. No, and yes, so all is good.

So Wesley has strep and Piper has an injured nose? Sooo sorry. We are seasoned veterans and thank God for the miracle of antibiotics several times a year. I hope tomorrow is pain-free for all.

In case you wondered, and I know you did, DS's spaghetti was a hit, he got three merit badges, and Grammy's spices had everyone dancing on the tables. I left all the scout families re-bricking the church; they were peppy.

I love the Amazing Race. I hope the Hippies win it. I was originally rooting for the older couple, Fran and Barry. But the hippies are way cool.

It was a slow day since DH was home pretty early, so i didn't have to make dinner or anything that demanding haha
