I don't either. Honestly, when I read the story, I thought the woman was immature and pitching a fit like a toddler. She even said the husband didn't like rides. I have been forced to go on rides I didn't like before and I do not appreciate it. I get that you're bummed but come on, grow up. He doesn't like rides. You're a big girl, don't pout because your husband doesn't want to go on a ride he doesn't like.

See to me it's more like DH taking me to a NASCAR race because he loves it and getting mad at me because I don't have fun. I'm not into NASCAR. It doesn't mean I have to have fun because we spent money on an event I don't particularly care for.

So people should be expected to make themselves miserable because their partner can't stand the idea of going on a ride on their own? That's absurd. It's not about "letting go" some people don't like these things.

Now in this case it appears to simply be a joke between the two of them so fair enough.

No, you are correct. That is what it was all about. Some people lack completely an even minor amount of a sense of humor. It was funny and she has a very expressive face. I'm sure that he has no problem knowing when he is in trouble.
