The Mad Chatters thread

Hello everyone! I am finally back. We went out to IKEA to shop for DBF's bro's new place and had some yummy food and beer at a brewpub for lunch. It was fun, but after spending 4 hours in IKEA I am beat! 4 hours is way to much time dealing with crowds of shoppers who never know which way to go first. Its hypervigilance to the max!

Karen, you let me kill your thread? My scheme worked!! :rotfl:

IKEA is a wonderful superstore from Sweden who has a bunch of cute (and very cheap) furniture and other household needs. DBF calls it 'yuppies' Walmart' :rotfl: . I love it! They had a bookcase there for 20$! :thumbsup2

Can either one of us ever decide? :confused3 I know I can't. I was going to ask you. :teeth:

Paige I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. :grouphug: Is there anything that can be done?

Actually, I finally came to the conclusion that it was the stomach bug everyone was talking about. I think it's nearly finished........I'm so much better than I was a week ago. I went through everything from thinking I was pregnant, to pills for reflux, to thinking it was my gallbladder.............I don't know why it never occurred to me it could be a virus. I stopped taking the reflux pills and I felt better after that.........I had had general nausea, but while taking them it became after I ate like clockwork. When I quit those I've had some stomach pain and ummm, other stuff, and that seems to be settling. I've eaten more now in the second half of the day than I have in two weeks. The bright side is: I lost ten pounds!

I'm just still a bit shaky, trying to keep to mild food, and still needing to rest quite a bit.

Dh liked the chalupa recipe, but the kids didn't. He decided it wasn't "Mexican enough" for them. So now he's going to remake it with corn tortillas, mushroom soup, add Rotel and jalapenos to the top. We'll see.

Hi Minty (am I ever going to find out why everyone calls you this?) :confused3
Hi Denise.

Hi Paige. Did I miss anyone?

Losing 10 lbs is a good thing. Being sick to do it, isn't. Glad you're feeling better. :thumbsup2

We were supposed to go to IKEA this weekend, but I didn't feel up to it. I am having a garage sale next Saturday, but I think I'll just do the one day thing and whatever's left goes to Goodwill dropoff. I just want to get all this stuff out of here so I can organize what's left. So maybe we can go to IKEA next Sunday.

My kids are at VBS and I'm worried about the little one......................

Are you talking about my chicken chalupa recipe that I posted on Denise's thread? Or another recipe?

Hi Denise.

EE, Denise and i were telling Mindy how we kept spelling her name wrong. Denise was typing Monday, and I was typing Minday. And she said she's had worse, some people kept typing Minty. So we thought it was funny and told her we were gonna call her that. Now I never misspell her name! :thumbsup2

Why, thank you! Don't worry, my kids don't really care for it much either.

I had a friend in college named Mendi. She didn't mind people misspelling it, but she'd jump us for mispronouncing it: "It's not Mindy!"

So, uh. . .Karen. Was that last post on your thread slaying thread a slight against our friend, FC? ;)
