I'll never forget my first trip to Memphis...
we were about to have dinner when the hostess smiles and says "woodyalliketaorsweta".
Me absolute northerner... first time in the south....
thinking "OMG!! What did she say... YIKES!I don't want to be rude"

I say Pardon me and she says the same thing again!!
"woodyalliketaorsweta".

I then her daughter saw the complete and utter disbelief on my face and mercifully held up a pitcher of tea and slow said

Would you like tea or sweettea?

Oh my little blond brain was spinning -- replaying the whole thing before I could answer!

In the north... back then... the answer to
Would you like tea or sweettea?

was Coke please!

Well, being that he is a man, I have to take conversation when I can get it....

Very good..............mostly. My kids are doing benchmarks testing and I hate that. I sent the email about the koolaid/tea..............the phone won't quit ringing. Joker and I have headaches. Otherwise perfect!
