We do the same thing...not sure how this year is going to work out though.

Apparently DH owes money to the state...and they can't prove their numbers and we can't seem to get the right info from the IRS. (You can't believe the idiocy around this). Anyway...ultimately, they may take our lump sum this year...don't know yet.

We saved most of last years, and want to combine it with this years and maybe buy DVC so we can go more often...but it's just not fast enough, you know?
Geez, that's a mess, isn't it? Sorry. :grouphug: It's never fast enough...........I don't ever want to leave, and then I want to jump right back there.

Do you ever read the trip reports? Those sometimes help me.............if you get a good one, you feel like you're there.

I don't have much time for them lately, but Jay is writing one, and hers is really good. You should check it out.

I haven't read too many trip reports...I should try it sometime!

I did read tmasingo's about her engagement at MK...it was too cool!

I like looking at other's pics, and I have been trying to get organized to do my scrapbooks from our trip. But, I want my wedding pics and I can't get them for another 2 years!

What? 2 years? Why?

I don't scrapbook, just slide 'em into those pocket albums, though I haven't even done that in about two years...............and haven't even printed a year or so worth.

Jay went to WDW, then on the Disney Cruise, then back to WDW. She just finished her first leg on her TR, and started writing about their sailing day..............you want a link? It's really good.

With Disney Photography...after your wedding (and for last years packages), you get 20 pics they choose (in a beautiful album), and a low res CD of the pics. I ordered proofs of all the pics for extra. But, the low res CD only prints really small pics and not very good quality. I could have gotten the hi res CD, but it would have cost $1000. If I wait three years (after my wedding) it's only $99...so I'm waiting! :teeth:

I have never really scrapbooked before...but I got lots of cool stuff to put in two books to remember our first trip/honeymoon/Disney wedding.

And yes, please...I would like the link!!!

ewww...the roach motel! :scared1:
Yeah........ :rotfl: that was on their way down. It gave me the heebie jeebies too...

Doesn't she write well though? She doesn't think so.............

I think her writing is great!

She shouldn't listen to herself!

So, what did you get to do on your wedding trip? Besides your wedding, of course.................and was that amazing?

Hey! Don't read it NOW! :teeth: I need somebody to talk to!

The wedding was very cool!! I felt so lucky being able to get married at Disney!!! The cake was FABULOUS!!! We picked chocolate cake with amaretto mousse filling...

It was just us for the wedding, none of my family could be there and DH's parents passed away years before we met.

I started coming here to learn stuff and was able to get us ADRs for Liberty Tree tavern so we could see our favorite characters (Minnie and Goofy), and we did the Segway tour at Epcot. DH loved that (even though he fell off the thing! :rotfl: )

We hated California Grill.

We didn't make it to AK, and only spent a couple of hours in MGM...but we spent lots of time at Epcot 'cause we were so close (stayed at BWI).

We had lots of fun...the characters were great! Even for a couple of old folks! :teeth: Cindy congratulated us, Goofy "married" us again...it was really wonderful!

What are your favorite things to do there?

Got a couple hours? :rotfl:

That sounds great R2...........how was the Segway? My uncle has COPD, and the family wants to get him a Segway because he won't use a wheelchair.............my mom called this am to see how much we can contribute.............seeing as how we can't pay our own med bills, I told her we'd love to but can't. That went over well.

Okay, let me think of my favorite things...........give me a minute to pare the list down........

Aww, Paige :grouphug: those segways are expensive!!! It would be cool if more places recognized them as an alternate aid for folks who don't necessarily need a wheelchair, but could use some help just getting around, you know?

They are fun! Very easy to use, although it does take a few minutes to get used to at first, and then when you get off...it kinda feels weird. I have back problems and worried a little about standing in one place (on the segway) for the whole two hour tour...but I was able to shift my feet a bit and even balance on one foot sometimes.

While you are paring your list down...have you ever been to DL?

Favorites:

MGM:

Star Wars Weekend.........we just did this last summer and it was a blast.
Fantasmic
Beauty and the Beast Show
Rock N Roller Coaster
Tower of Terror
Little Mermaid

Epcot:
Soarin'
Turtle Talk with Crush
Shopping Around the World
Train and doll displays in Germany
El Rio Del Tiempo in Mexico
Le Cellier
Coral Reef
Spaceship Earth
Test Track

AK:
It's mostly about the animals here...........we love the hippo pool and safari, the bats.............the tigers.
Festival of the Lion King
Expedition Everest
Dinoland is a big hit with the kids.......especially the statue garden and the playground

MK: The whole darn place!

Our fave resort so far is tied: Wilderness Lodge and Port Orleans French Quarter.

OUr fave water park is Typhoon Lagoon, though we enjoy the family raft ride and ski lift at Blizzard Beach.

At Marketplace: World of Disney, Once Upon a Toy, the Christmas shop, Earl of Sandwich and Legoland (or whatever it's called).

No, we talked about it for Spring Break, but it was too much. We are thinking of a DC trip..............

Fave character meals:
Crystal Palace for Pooh and Friends
Chef Mickey's for the Big Cheese
Princess Storybook Breakfast for the royalty

This is why we need to go again!!! Most of these things we didn't even see!!!

I tried to ride RNR but it was having technical difficulties and we were very short on time (we had ADR's at CG...this was our wedding dinner). I wasn't sure about TOT, and DH won't ride either of them anyway.

Even though we spent quite a bit of time in Epcot, I think we were overwhelmed at all the stuff!!! The only place we ate there was the Fish'n'Chips place in England. I think Turtle Talk was down when we were there (the redo or whatever). We did ride Spaceship Earth (and we liked that alot!!!). I tried to get DH on test track but he wasn't sure.

And yeah...MK is wonderful ALL the way around!! We never made it to Tomorrowland though!

Our favorite resort is the Boardwalk...but it's the only one we've stayed at. We were lucky 'cause there were "issues" with our wedding planning so it wasn't our first choice (the Poly was). Well, with all the changes we were making about a month before our wedding, they upgraded us to Deluxe Concierge...it was AWESOME!!! We ate a lot of stuff in the lounge!

And DTD...DH couldn't wait to get to the Lego store!! He's a big Lego fanatic! We spent about 4 hours there (part of the wedding package was limo service, so we used it to take us there).

DC as in Washington or DC as in Disney Cruises?

Washington is about 3 hours from me (and very close to Bonnie!).

Washington..........yes, I know. I plan to see Bonnie, along with Mary when we go to Colonial Williamsburg, Jay when we pass through Kentucky, and Joker when we pass through Tennessee. You want to meet?

We can NOT afford a Disney cruise.............have you looked into that? Bigger bucks than we've got.............

Did you get to do Splash Moutain? That is my very favorite ride of all............. :thumbsup2

Yeah! We could meet around Williamsburg too! I used to work there...love that place! We go there every couple of weeks or so.
