June '08. Have DS1's HS Gad and DW's College Grad to celebrate. I am trying to put together a family reunion. I see you are going soon - I wish it was me!

I do have a business trip to San Diego next week - I may try to sneek up to DL.

OMG....I forgot to tell you guys. The schools here were on lockdown today. DS's school called and said "do not bring him here". They were locked down until further notice.

Some guy who lived right past the H.S. shot his wife, father (or FIL...not sure) and state trooper. He then set the house on fire! They found him dead in the house, but there was a manhunt for hours before they realized he was in there. I live in a tiny town, so this was quite the news here.

And here's the kicker. I had my Dad all set to pick up Drew from preschool so I could go shopping alone. Goofy stuff always happens when I plan to have time to myself. Sooo, of course we waited until they said the dude was found before leaving the house. I was sure he would've tried to get into my SUV on the way to Target.
