I was checking that thread out......................hard to make heads or tails out of what's going on there..........but the Yoda-Hoff cracked me up........

Yeah we probably should too. You have school tomorrow and I have to get up early for my coffee and scripture group... we meet at 8:30... wasn't my idea!

School starts at 7:50..................you go ahead, there's absolutely no way I can go to sleep this early...........no way.

Oh I loved that Yoda Hoff! That might be the best one they've found.

Well, one of my very best friends here's husband is having open heart surgery in the morning -- he's only 40. They found out last month he has been living with a defective aorta all his life and he's lucky to be alive. It was really pretty miraculous... he just went in for a routine I turned 40 physical

Wow, so scary. My cousin had a heart attack at 38. Often when I get my panic attacks, I think they're worse because I think I might be having a heart attack..............not likely, but I'm 37 and round..................so I panic even more.

I will pray for your friend. I don't have to go to church to pray.

Thanks... they are such a neat family.
They have 6 kids here -- 3 natural, 2 adopted from Korea and 1 adopted from Nigeria and one sweet heart in heaven (he was my godson.. he died at 10 exactly 3 years ago today) He had the same heart condition as his dad... strange isnt' it.

They have 6 kids here -- 3 natural, 2 adopted from Korea and 1 adopted from Nigeria and one sweet heart in heaven (he was my godson.. he died at 10 exactly 3 years ago today) He had the same heart condition as his dad... strange isnt' it.

Hey Rella.........don't be offended but the "3 natural"............

Reminds me of my mother. My dh is Hispanic, did I tell you? She was describing some other mixed kids one day, and said, they're half Mexican and half regular....................we were like, "Mom, does that mean their Mexican half is the irregular half????" We were rolling............

My DS is adopted and I don't think of him as "not natural"
maybe because their family is bi-racial -- well really multi-racial
but we dont' treat anyone any differently
they're all just the kids.

You did it for me. That's how people who haven't adopted describe mixed families...........you just forgot who I am...........

No. Never heard of it.

I love that movie! It's half documentary and half a story with Marle Matson. It's about quantum physics and the things they are learning in science that explain the universe... kinda new age-y and in places kinda far out
But it talks about energy and how it effects us... just fasinating!
I've seen it like 6 times and would watch it again in a heart beat because it really makes you think...

I guess I thought of it because of talking about prayer... I think it's partly that energy...

The night bugs are getting in my mind again! No they're not voices!

It's HILARIOUS. And it actually throws a lot of stereotypes to the wind. One day, all Mexicans go missing. This encompasses politicians, housekeepers..........all kinds of people and professions.

We wish everybody would see it.........especially some of the REALLY vocal anti-immigration people on these boards.

Not the ones anti-illegal.......I can see their point, though I disagree with the handling of it, but there are some who are just plain shut down the country.

She's okay, had a double bypass........... My mother likes to point to her as an example when telling me I need to lose weight.........like I didn't know. I told her one day, "Gee mom, thanks for telling me. I never would have known I was overweight if you didn't tell me. I don't walk around in my own body all day or anything." I was so bad...........but I've kind of started letting her know where the line is lately.
