Yes. I mean, I read that you are going to make some changes, and you had a break. I really want a total career change, but I keep thinking, I have all these years invested in this career. But I also think that isn't a good enough reason to continue.

My Monday was fine. I really have a wonderful class this year. I have decided to do what I can of what "the powers" want, but to stay true to my own philosophy.............calm atmosphere, lots of time to finish, choice times...............and I feel much better now!


But, I will say that I do LOVE teaching. I LOVE the kids. I was teaching Thursday and hating every minute of the meetings, the book studies, the testing...........and yet, while I was teaching, I kind of thought to myself, but what else to do? I LOVE this! AND I love the school I teach in........these are the little ones raising themselves, watching the wrong things on TV and worse things in front of their house, playing unsupervised in the dumpsters....................and I love them. I enjoy their innocence despite all the mess their lives are in. I understand their anger, and their stoicism when they are sick or hurt. I understand why, to them, the cops ARE the bad guys.

Oops, got off on my soapbox........sorry.
