My son came home from school sick today. He didn't eat lunch..........just 2 brownies and a soda. So he had a hamburger and feels fine now. He can NOT understand why I won't let him go play with his friends.......................I told him if you go home from school sick, you do not go out to play. He just keeps saying, "But I wasn't really sick"..............and I say, "That's the whole point honey"...........he is SO mad at me!

I went to a meeting today, and I saw one of the 4th grade teachers...........I was talking to another one, and she said to her that they had a seat for her.............now, I didn't care, 'cause I have 2 friends, my only two, I always sit with................but then she looked right at me and said, "You can't sit with us." I'm thinking, ***? Then she says, "You're a troublemaker"..................... It made me think of YOU Al..................

I sent his dad to pick him up, hoping he'd yell at him, as normally he does................but he didn't....................

We had a big deal happen over the camping thing, and he and I talked a lot about our son, and I think he's trying to understand him now..................

Day was ok, evening was kinda . Add that to my trying to recover from the shiner you gave me yesterday( see still wearing the glasses ) and that leaves me feeling down.

My reply doesn't seem to want to work on email.......................sorry, that's random...........

Well, you know my son has ADHD and he's pretty severe..........he's only medicated on school days during school hours..............ADHD kids do some odd things...........one of their main problems is psychosocial...........they have lots of difficulty with personal relationships, even as adults (notice I only have 2 friends?????)................anyway, he loses things, forgets things, leaves the water on, leaves the dog out...........stuff like that.

Well, we're getting ready to go camping, and dh tells him to dump the bottled water in the ice chest while he goes to get the ice. So DS TAKES ALL THE LIDS OFF ALL THE BOTTLES AND DUMPS THE WATER INTO THE ICE CHEST.

It sounds funny now, but when your 11 year old does that, you get visions of his future and they aren't pretty. So we were really worried, and had a long talk..........and I think it just hit home to dh that our son really isn't like other kids.

So now I think he's trying to figure him out, and doesn't know when to scold and when not, so just isn't.................

That reply just won't work, no matter, compose works well...............info is in your email, not as complicated as you are expecting, though.

Yeah, I know a lot about ADHD, but poor dh, and his oldest son. It's hard for him...........the pursuit of the diagnosis was hard, the decision to medicate was hard..............that's why I'll go all off in ADHD threads where someone starts talking about the evil medicating parents.

Dh has a really bad headache and he can't take anything because his biopsy is Friday......................I might have to get off . If he gets sicker, I'm going to insist he take soemthing anyway.............
