I've never had an ulcer. How you do treat it?
I had one diagnosed at 14. Every once in a while it comes back. Keeping your diet good helps.............eating on time, not skipping meals, not so spicy foods, no sodas/coffee. Green tea makes me sick when I have a flare up.

You also take meds................Bonnie, how long for the insurance to kick in?

Stomach ulcers HURT! I went on some medication last time...it took about 4 weeks to feel better. I got really sick and wasn't eating hardly at all.

Insurance, I have about 2 more months.

Are there any good movies playing? DH and I might go today.

I would not be the one to ask that question to. I don't even remember the last movie I saw that wasn't rated "G". :rotfl:

We haven't been able to watch any adult movies since the birth of our first son.......... :rotfl:

Bonnie, 2 months might not be a doable wait................ :guilty:

I'm going to try Prevacid and see if that helps at least a little.

I think I might try to persuade DH to see Flyboys.

:rotfl: What does that mean?

Ain't dat da troof.............es verdad...............I would say so..............you are so right.............. :rotfl2:

Prevacid will help...........in fact, it might be what the dr. would prescribe to you, they are going with that more often than Zantac and Tagamet now because often people with ulcers (especially those who vomit like you) will need to heal their throat, just like those with reflux.

How's that for some doctorin' today???????????

Sorry girls I was reading the thread about people posting what rebellious things that did when they were young. I'm wracking my brain here and I've got nothing. :confused3

Thanks, Paige. My throat is not bothering me at all. My stomach just hurts--ALL THE TIME! :guilty:

You're funny with your Texas lingo.

It's a popular thread, she doesn't really need the charity posts................I had to really think, too, are we all a bunch of rule-followers or what? ;)

Time to go out................I was gonna try to stay off my foot, but if I do that I won't get a laptop!!!!

Also, I think we're going to lunch at Chipotle............. :wave2:

I didn't read that one. So how important is it?
Not that important at all.............you can get fine motor skills a lot of other ways, play-doh, sand play, small figures and blocks, nuts and bolts...........their writing MAY be a little less neat, that's about it...........

Before I go, Bonnie, I've never asked for a tag...........what are the chances of getting "strumpet smilie" in a tag do you think?

Once when I was like 14, I went to a conference at a university, where kids from a bunch of different states came. At the dance, this guy asked me to dance. In the middle of the dance, the group from Texas burst into song, singing "Deep in the Heart of Texas". My partner was part of that group. So there he is, bellering, "The sage in bloom, is like perfume....*clap,clap,clap,clap* Deep in the heart of Texas". And I was HORRIFIED. I was so embarrassed. Now I wouldn't even think twice, but at that age, I actually thought everyone was always looking at me. I was so self conscious.

Now I see DD12 (almost 13) like that, where she is embarrassed about everything and thinks everyone is looking at her. Makes me so glad those days are over for me. I'm sad my kids have to go through it though.

Hmmmm...very slim. If there is a hoppin' thread that the TF is perusing and granting tags left and right, maybe she'll do it. But it's pretty rare. You should try though! :thumbsup2
