Yoo hoo! Anybody home?

Cy, you were here, and I missed you!? :guilty: I hardly ever see you anymore.

Denise, where are you? Jay, Minty, Paige, Mary, Cassi, Karen, Tricia, Stephanie--Where are the Mad Chatters?

Hi chatters! How is everyone today? I got blasted on the Parents out of Whack thread earlier, so I thought I would come and have some tea to calm my nerves.

Wait Bonnie; I got a put my flame suit on first, I don't want to get burned again. Ok, I just told someone who thought that being a SAHM meant that we are all lazy, fat, Soap watching, uneducated women, who helicopter hover over our kids with no life that they needed to get over themselves. It is a long thread and I'm sure it will get locked before the night is over.

Are you feeling better?

No flames here. I thought of adding my 2 cents to that thread, but I haven't had time. I think that SAHM is the best for the kids, whenever possible. I used to be SAHM but I went back to work 2 1/2 years ago. I've seen a negative change in my kids and I really hate it. But we are too poor for me to stay at home anymore. I kind of agree with the OP, but I probably wouldn't have phrased it quite like that.....

I feel okay, but I am still throwing up after breakfast and after dinner.

Ok, now I really think that this throwing up is suspicious. I don't mind someone working if they choose, but I refuse to get blasted because of my choice. I am very educated and I also have a life outside of my kids. I didn't turn into a fungus the day I gave birth that feeds off my kids lives. They added to my life they didn't take away from mine. They certainly haven't robbed me of my existance because I chose to be at home with them.

I know, I think we should spend all the time we can with them. Once kids start school, their teachers spend the majority of the day with them, much more time than us. When they have to start out in life that way, they aren't spending much time with their parents at all. I hate to see the babies being left in day care. That makes me sad. At least I've never had to do that! :guilty:

OT: I think I got put on the Ignore List by Flowerschild recently. I tried to go on his thread today, and it told me I had an explorer error and kicked me off the web. So I had to log back in again. I think I may have said something to upset him on a thread, not his, but another and maybe he read it and has now put me on ignore. Uh oh!!! I've never been on ignore before.

I don't think being on ignore would kick you off the thread. I think he just wouldn't be able to see your posts. I doubt you are on his ignore list. He always seems to make an announcement to the person he is placing on ignore.

Me too, and I am very glad and thankful that DH's salary allows me to be home. But with my subbing, I get the best of both worlds. I go with them and come home with them. And the money I make is my spending money. In the beginning we had to make sacrifices, DH has an adult child from a previous marriage, so we paid child support the first 5 years we were married. Money was tight but we got thru. We didn't eat out as much, we didn't go on vacation much (Disney was out of the question), but for me it was the best choice I ever made. Once Taylor was born, my going back to work was out of the question. I have never regretted being home with them.

So, what's for dinner tonight?
The new Lazagne Pizza from Pizza Hut. We have a babysitter here tonight, we have back to school night at school, so we are going in to see the teachers. What about you?

We're supposed to go to Heather's thingie tonight too (middle school). I have no idea what's for dinner.

I want to try that Lasagne pizza too! Let me know how you like it!

I think I may have said he was a little on the off side. And that I was a little worried about him having maybe a split personality, because he posts as a child and an adult. Ooooops!

Just stopping by for a few moments while my dnep and his dgf get ready to go out to dinner. They have arrived safely...the safe arrival of our house/dog sitters can mean only ONE THING....WE LEAVE FOR DISNEY TOMORROW!!!!!!

So YES.... to everyone who asked I am E-X-C-I-T-E-D! :bounce: Well, that may be an UNDERSTATED way to express my current feelings.... :cool1:  :Pinkbounc  ;)
