Tomorrow. I just have the little one. I'm sure dh misses me too........when he's not watching TV! Which is what he does mostly when I'm home anyway..................

He says the big one is taking lots of liberties in my absence. He says he's drinking sodas, eating in the livingroom........all that forbidden stuff.

What a MOM thing to say! Just tell her that dragonflies are really cool too! Or better yet, tell her that with the creams OUR generation uses, we won't have saggy skin like HER generation.......that ought to do it!

I laughed really hard when I read that. As for showing your mom, I didnt even tell her but she accidentally saw it. We were out celebrating my birthday at a minigolf place. When I bent down to put my ball down, my shirt raised up and she saw it. She knew that she couldn't yell at me as we were celebrating my birthday. She made up fo it though by giving me grief for the next year!!!!!!!

Hey you don't have to be from Texas to talk with a ya'll. We use it in Virginia too. Its really weird, I lived in New York when I was a teenager and they use the word "you's or you's guys". It took me forever to get used to that. The kids picked on me so bad for saying ya'll all the time.

Of course he is! When the cat is away, the mice will play. I did all that stuff too when we would go to my dad's house for the weekend.

Oh no!!!!! Not the forbiddin stuff!!!!!!! You'll be dealing with that for a long time. When I was in High School, my parents went out of town one weekend and they let us stay at home. Well my sister and I had a party at the house. Two years later, I was home from college for spring break or something. My mom asked me to strip the kitchen floors and wax them for her, as they were getting ready to put the house on the market. Well, I found a Budweiser bottle label stuck underneath the table in a corner where my parents would never have found it. But I did because I got under the table on my hands and knees. Yikes!!!! I can't believe how careless I was back then. My kids will not get away with anything. I've done most of it and what I didn't do, I know someone who did.

My relatives who were here were laughing after I got here. They said they'd been wondering where my mom picked up "I'll tell ya what....." They said whenI got here and started with it, THEN they knew...............that's classic Texan.

Y'all is pretty common all over the South......we don't take credit for it.....we take credit for "all y'all"........"Are all y'all coming over for supper?" And you know what they'll be havin'.......you don't have to ask........Barbecue brisket of course!

Well you guys will have to. I have to go to bed. I have to teach 2nd grade again tomorrow. I found out today that I have to teach Kindergarden on Wednesday too. But only 1/2 the day. So I get to enjoy 1/2 the day at home. Thursday I have to take DD for her first consultation with an orthodontist. YIKES!!!!! I'm not sure how much that's gonna cost. I'm a little nervous about that.
