I've been MIA all weekend from the DIS!

I'm now trying to plan a DCL trip!!!! DH said no to going back to WDW, but he will consider the cruise! Of course the cruise is going to cost twice as much, but it'll be something new! i've never cruised before.

Have any of you been on DCL?

We did a DCL trip in 2000 and we are doing another one in a little over a month (September 23-30)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ask away with any questions...I love to talk about the cruise (both the one we did and the one we will do ).

oh Jay I am jealous! Even if Sarah isn't here I want to know all about your cruise! I've always wondered what there was to do when you're stuck on a boat all day? Besides eat and tan/swim!

Hmm...people do things other then eat?!! We had so much fun. Swimming was fun (although crowded in the pools that allowed kids). I also thought it was very decadent to drop off the kids and soak in a hottub under the stars out in the middle of the ocean. Other fun things, the classes. We took a shark class with a naturalist and that was lots of fun. They also have wine/cheese events (which we didn't do, I was pregnant on our last cruise and I don't really like wine...gasp). The coolest class was one on napkin folding (how to make cool things with them) and one on making Disney desserts.

They had night clubs that we never even got around to going to (this time we will make sure we check them out) because we were too busy watching the shows and doing the family activities (game shows, dance party, veggie car races, karaoke,etc).

Another favorite activity was to order room service at night before bed (did I mention that I enjoyed the food?? ). We felt so decadent doing that!!

Hmmm...meeting characters, watching movies (that was fun), sitting out on a deck reading.

There was so much to do and the cool thing was you could do as much or as little as you wanted to. I think a cruise is just about the perfect vacation and a Disney cruise is the very best!!

The cruise sounds wonderful. I've always wondered whether I would be bored. But it doesn't sound like I will even have time to think about being bored! Well I'll definitely have to try DCL sometime. Maybe not next year, but sometime
