that cruise sounds fabulous! we should do a DIS meet cruise sometimme too! Wouldn't that be fun?

I think we should pick a date for the meet soon though. I want to go ahead and book stuff early-especially if we end up going around the same time as Pop Warner!

Hi Sarah! A cruise!! You're gonna LOVE it! I've done two 7-day DCL cruises--One Eastern and One Western. For me, I like the Eastern better because the at-sea days are my favorites, and the Eastern has one extra at-sea day. The shows are all really good, and I love the activities during the day. They have this series of classes called the Art of Entertaining, which is my FAVORITE. Our first cruise we did just DH and I, the second we took the kids. Any questions, feel free to ask. I love talking about the cruise!

We're probably going to go Western, because of the big discounts (mousesavers). We actually may end up on an 11 day!!! I'm waiting on the quotes though. Disney's offering $99 rt airfare for the 11, so less on airfare means more for the cruise!

Of course I can't really do anything for another 2 weeks to make sure DH doesn't get a teaching job. I need to check the cancelation policy!

What category cabins did you stay in? Are the adults only areas cool? What were your favorite POC? favorite excersions? The Flying Dutchmen is at CC!!! That's going to be way too cool and might sell DH!

No, actually he might be ready to go back by then. He played the only card he had that would allow him to not go back to WDW. He said he just isn't ready after our January trip (his mom died back home suddenly on the second day we were there). So it's very understandable for him. We stayed the entire week in Jan, and it was very theraputic for him, but I had an absolutly appalling time. On top of everything, I had switched meds and I had the WORST mean nasty mood swings ever recorded in humna history. It was really awful. So I REALLY want to go back, and he REALLY doesn't want to, so DCL is a great comptrimise.

Hopefully by next fall he will be a teacher so we won't be able to go to the meet, but we may make it.

Ok I feel better! A meet wouldn't be the same without ya!

Thats awful about your previous trip. I really hope the cruise helps turn him back around!

I thought we decided on the week after thanksgiving. Am I a kook? December 23 - 29 (That's Sunday - Saturday). Of course, people can pick and choose how long they stay and stuff, but we could plan a few times when we all get together and then people can either hang out together or do stuff alone throughout the week. What do you guys think?

That would be bad I think. You need to wait until after that weekend. Schools will be out the 23-26. So it's really busy. You should do the 27-Dec 4.

That would be awesome to see that ship at CC! I've stayed in category 9 when it was just DH and me, and I've stayed in category 4 when we all went. Adults only stuff is really fun! Especially when you really click with your tablemates and hang out together a lot. On Castaway Cay, they have one side of the Island that is Adults-Only, but I actually like the family side better. It's much nicer.

Ports of Call, Castaway Cay is by far the best. On the Eastern I loved St. Thomas (but I did not love St. Maarten), and on the Western, I loved Cozumel. On Cozumel we went to a beach with some other DISers, it was really nice. I can't remember the name of it. I want to say Mr. Sanchos? We also went to Carlos and Charlies (in Cozumel) and that place was crazy! Grand Caymen I know we went to the Hard Rock for lunch and did some shopping cause I bought a diamond and sapphire ring. Key West, I was not impressed. We took the Conch train tour and it was BORING. If I were to go again, I would go to Margaritaville.

Excursion on the Eastern that I liked was the submarine tour in St. Thomas. In St. Maarten we did the Under 2 Flags tour. It was boring.

I think the slowest is the week AFTER Thanksgiveing WEEKEND. At least that's what I read, I think. i'll check the UG.

I am all about less crowded parks!

Also, they should have some MVMCPs going on that week right? I've never been, so I'm hoping so! I know in the past they have had them at the end of November also.

I think the Friday came from the confusion on the start date. Bonnie was looking at December instead of November

Well that's what I"m saying, people could just arrive and leave when they wanted to, but we plan a few get-togethers that people can try to be there for. And then people can plan to hook up together throughout the week as they please.

For me I always try to plan my trips so that Saturday is not a park day (since it's always so crowded). But other people like to incorporate the weekend into their trip so they take fewer days off work. I think everyone has their own way of doing things so there needs to be some flexibility.
