I figured it out! I answered some questions for her about POR on the Resorts board. She must have followed the link in my siggy! :thumbsup2

You guys know you can make the new Mad Chatter pic a link yourselves right?

In the edit sig window, highlight the picture and click the "Insert Hyperlink" button (it's the one that looks like the world with a chain right next to the image buton).
Whoa! Too cool! Thanks, Cassi! :thumbsup2 (I'm going to do that after I fold clothes!)

I didn't know that, Cassi! Good tip!

So you didn't tell her to come? She just followed the link? Well, I guess in a way you did "send" her. . . I just assumed you guys were friends. She seemed nice, I hope she comes back.

We stayed at Beau Rivage a few times. It was the prettiest/ fanciest one down there. I wonder if it has reopened yet, the last I heard was that it would reopen the end of this month (I think). This time we are staying at Imperial Palace. We used to go every couple of months, our favorite was Grand Casino. We loved it. and miss it, :sad1: They are supposed to rebuild it bigger and better than ever, I'm sure it will be great. But we liked the old one.

I hope she comes back too. The more the merrier!

So what are everyone's plans for the weekend? My 15 yr old cousin and her 19 yr old boyfriend are coming to visit Friday night - Sunday morning. I'm so excited to spend some time with them. (Don't worry - one of them will be in the guest room and the other on the couch! ) I haven't really gotten to know this guy yet - only met him once. But I've heard good things about him!

Cassi- Have fun with your cousin! Family time is always the best time. :)

Tomorrow, the kids have orentation. No DIS for me. :guilty: DD's is from 8:00 - 10:30 AM. DS's is from 1:30 - 3:00 PM. I suppose we'll get lunch between there at some point. There goes out whole Friday. . .

Saturday DD and I have hair appointments. She's getting highlights and a cut.

Sunday is church. :)

And then. . . Monday is SCHOOL! :woohoo:

Bonnie, I live in Alabama, about 45 min. south of Birmingham and about the same distance west of Montgomery, in a tiny town noone has ever heard of. We don't even have a red light. We have a caution light though, 2 actually.

My small town in CT has been upgraded to THREE traffic lights on Main Street! (It used to be only two...) ;)

I think I'd like it there! :thumbsup2

Sarah- Yoo-hoo! Are you here? I was getting into this library convo! :confused3

Denise and Bonnie, are you both teachers?

What grades do you teach? Someone else that posts on this thread is a teacher too, I think. Is this the teacher thread??

Be right back. I'm going to call the library now that they've opened. (I was looking online before.) :)

That sounds like the town I grew up in (60 miles north of Las Vegas). There is STILL no stoplight!

Paige (paigevz) is a teacher, Karen (eeyoremama) is a teacher. I normally teach Kindergarten at a preschool, but this year I'll teach Pre-K and then next year move up with them to K. I'm not familiar with Pre-k, so I have no idea what I'm doing.

Denise works at a Doctor's office.

Michelle - I'm not a teacher. I work for a nurses office doing paperwork. :)

I'm about at witts end! I had DD call the library and they told her she wasn't going to get the book before school starts. There's a hold on it. So now we have 2 choices.

A) Look online- eBay, Amazon.com, etc. We could order express, but I still worry about it coming in time for her to read by Saturday. . .

OR

B) Go with another book. Sounds simple, but even Sarah said that the other book list stunk! They're all fantasy and DD has a hard time reading those. Sarah said most of them are way long, too.

I just don't know what to do. :charac2:

:rotfl:

Small towns are a good thing. Ours is great for raising children. There just isn't much for the kids to do, which can be a good thing too sometimes. :teeth: When we need groceries or something, a visit to the nearest town is usually an all day event. Our nearest city is Selma. It's good for some things, but not shopping. I have to go there later for physical therapy (I was just going to say "therapy" but then I thought you guys may think I was a nutcase, so I added the "physical" so you would know I wasn't getting my head examined. :goodvibes

So why is she going back on Tuesday? Why has she been off? Not that I'm jealous or anything... :rolleyes1

I work at a Construction office. :)

Denise, do they have an assignment based on those books? Or is it more of a "suggested" reading list to make sure they are reading during the summer? What will happen if they don't read them? I'm betting there will be a WHOLE lotta kids who didn't read them. I'd just keep my name on the waiting list and get it when you can, even if it is AFTER school starts.
