Some crazy lady just called and started yelling at me to get my boss to stop researching women's sexual health and focus on the one sided male a%^&*%s who are ruining the world and women are sick of it. The study she read was about how being around breastfeeding women increases desire in other women. How does this relate to men at all?

and shes still going about how women are discriminated upon and belittled by men and that is why they lose their desire. And that is what she should be researching. Whoa this woman is a total conspiracy theorist. She wouldn't give me her email address to send the actual publication (she had only read a news release) becuase she was convinced it was hacked by men. So she gave me her home address. How is that better? Scary stuff!

I just basically thanked her for her time and wished her a good day. And got off the phone as quickly as possible! This is a first for me! I've had activists before but not extreme feminists!

Karen! Glad you survived! It will get better after the hectic first week is over. I hope they don't add any more students-you already have a massive class now!

Mindy, there are 5 classes in all. Usually there are about 130 in total. I had about 8 absent. So if they all show up eventually, I will have 110. If the numbers stay low, they will put any new students on my roster. Whee!

I'm only 5'2. They haven't been shorter than me in 3 years. They tower over me (at least until I get them to sit down)

Eigth graders come in with attitude. They leave in May with their tales between their legs because they are bottom of the food chain in HS. I'm living for those moments.

Seriously, it really wasn't too bad. I know most of them and we just had a bunch of paperwork and rules to go over. Real stuff starts tomorrow. I am getting them started on a short story (fiction) and some vocab words. We have a lot of focus on reading and comprehension this year. I have to whip them into shape.
