....whoa, HOLD DA PHONE!!! Why was it 'UNmagical'???
well there were lots of reasons, but I'll just give you a few:
Reason #1: I left the freakin' park tickets at HOME!!!! We had 3 days left on our 10-day no-expire tix from 2005. This was supposed to be a low-cost trip since DH is STILL unemployed. That went out the door before we even got there.

Reason #2: We go to eat dinner Thursday night and the restaurant does NOT have our ADR!!!!!!

Reason #3: DH left his favorite hat at Boma. We called as soon as we got back to the room and YEA!!! they had it and would send it over to our room in the morning. We would have it by noon. Maybe I should mention that I am now back in NJ and no one at WDW has a clue what happened to the hat.

Reason #4 (which has nothing to do with WDW, but caused undue stress): DS22 calls on Saturday to let us know that the friend he was supposed to stay with in San Francisco is not going to be able to pick him up at the airport OR be home for 3 days. BTW...DS is in the San Fran airport!

Reason #5 (again not really WDW problem, but more stress due to #4): I left the cell phone charger home and of course the battery died. So off to buy a charger, after all, momma bears are always concerned about their cubs, especially when they are on the left coast all by themselves with nowhere to stay. BTW....did I mention this was supposed to be a low-cost trip??
Reason #6: The weather was quite uncooperative. Rain Thursday afternoon into Friday evening. Not the normal Florida showery stuff. RAIN!!! Constant downpour-type stuff!!!

Reason #7: I never saw so many parents who didn't understand that their little ones were overstimulated and needed a nap or rest. Saturday's dinner had us surrounded by families with little ones under 5 who clearly were overtired and behaving like overtired little ones. Of course that meant the poor babies were crying, screaming, whining, arguing, laying on the floor, and running around the restaurant, all while their parents pretty much ignored them and the effect their behavior was having on other people's ability to enjoy their meal. One little boy, at the table next to us, actually stood on the table and screamed because he wanted more bread. His parents made little effort to prevent him from getting on the table and only seemed to be concerned when he started screaming for the bread. I guess at that point they were a little embarrassed. FTR we're talking a sit-down, table service meal (which we all know are not inexpensive at WDW), not a character buffet or counter service.
I think I'll stop now. I'm getting depressed thinking about it. Time to dwell on the positive side of the trip. No long bus or attraction waits. In the end I guess it was at least a little magical, especially since I got out of the house for a few days.
Oh, and would I go again? IN A NEW YORK MINUTE!!!!
