Especially shoe shopping!!! Most woman find that just outrageous that I hate shopping for shoes more than anything else!!!! Kill me, please!

I mosey'd out to shop at 8:30 and managed to score what I needed, and some of what I didn't need for that matter.

I swear Walmart is getting worse! Some employee was trampled to death (I saw on the news but didn't get any facts).

I was ALL pissed that Bath and Body Works ran out of their totally-cool bag deal. I didn't really need a HUGE gold tote bag, but there was $100 worth of my favorites in said bag that I reeeeeally wanted/coveted. I even tried "Don't you know who I AM???" and they didn't. No totally-cool bags on-line either. Meh.

Who said shoe shopping??? Maaaan. I love shoe shopping!!! That not only is FUN, but also somewhat of a hunt for me to seek cute size 11's. I have some big-girl feet. You know what THAT means!

DS15's 16th birthday party is today (his actual birthday is Tuesday). I'm still not feeling well so I had to make the call to my Dad for him to call his octagenerian mother to talk to her about whether or not she should come to our illness-infested home tonight or not. I'm starting to think my "feeling weak" might be due to dehydration at this point as I've been running a fever for the last 60 hours or so but have probably only drank about 24 ounces of fluid over that time so I'm now trying to force myself to drink more water.

DW just got back from the store with our latest acquisition -- a Vicks SpeedRead Digital Thermometer. Ok, you KNOW your life is boring when you get excited over a new digital thermometer. BUT it is pretty cool -- 8 second read time and the backlight color on the LCD display is either green, yellow, or red depending upon how low or high your temperature is.

My current temp is only 98.3 so I guess I'm normal (told you all I was!). Now I have to get off of here and shower before our party guests arrive. Have a great evening everyone!

It's snowing here (actually it has been most of the day and we had some snow a few weeks ago so the real news is...) AND sticking! First "sticking" snowfall of the Fall.

DH & I went bike riding this here Saturday aft Thanksgiving. We covered about 10 miles along the Pacific Coast Highway between Newport Beach & Huntington Beach and the weather is spectacular...bright sun, warm temps.

As I posted yesterday evening, we had our first snowfall of the year that "stuck" last night (at least on the non-concrete, non-asphalt surfaces). Here's a pic out my back door:

In other news, I'm starting to finally feel normalish again -- being sick is a pretty sucky way to spend the Thanksgiving holiday I must say.

Glad you're starting to feel better. How'd the b-day party go?

The weather has been miserable here today...cold, damp, rain.....all day long.
Went to Wegman's to get the salad stuff for the week (see, I am trying to stay off the naughty list)...the place was a freakin' zoo! Guess that's what happens on a rainy day during football season when the home team isn't playing. I don't think I've ever gotten out of that store so quickly...just grabbed what I needed and back home.

Managed to get the rest of the Christmas stuff out of the basement and put up today. DH will be quite surprised when he gets home on Tuesday. He didn't get off the hook totally....I'll be expecting him to put up the outside lights during the week while I'm at work. Hey, I've got to give the guy something to do, lest he get used to his life of leisure and decide he doesn't want to get a job.

Hi freaks & geeks! Missed you all!!!
Hope you're feeling better Rob! And Kathi---- I LOVE Wegmans!!! Ours is always a madhouse.

Anyway, hope everyone who wasn't flu-infested had a good turkey day. I'm glad to be home, but so sick of contractors in my house. It's been 2 months!! Still not even half-way finished.

I am gonna be scarce for the next 2 weeks. DH is leaving AGAIN for a series of trips, and that doesn't leave me much spare time. But, I'll be here in spirit!
