Sit n' spin Robbie - sit n' spin!

Spin_Around_400.jpg
my sister had one of those! She loved it, till she spun herself so fast that she flew off and hit her head on a wall, knocking herself unconcious! Not really sure I ever saw that thing again.

...:scared1: how ridiculous......................................everyone KNOWS he doesn't look good in 'spaghetti straps'.....

I can wax his back and decolletage.

SIT STILL AND STOP SQUIRMING...

She's baaaaaaaaack! Run for your lives!

Got in yesterday at 6 am. Took red-eye from Long Beach, which was loads of fun. Sat right behind hippie, hasn't bathed in 2 months guy. Every time he raised his arms, I almost passed out. Did I mention his traveling companion was an equally unwashed girl with a crazy eye? Not lazy eye. It was MANIACAL. Thank goodness she chose to hide it with a lock of greasy hair.

Had a wonderful time in Cali, and I'll tell y'all about it (with pics, naturally) as soon as we finish swimming in our new indoor pool.

On the way home from the airport, DH jokingly said "Sure hope our house is still there, and hasn't burnt to the ground or flooded." :lmao: :rotfl2: Right?

Wrong. Got in the house, and he says "Is that the shower on downstairs?"

The PRV (pressure release valve) that makes the water coming in from the street "slow down" upon entering the house had burst, and Old Faithful was going strong in the laundry room. Called water company STAT, but it took them almost an hour to get here & shut off water. We were filling 5 gallon buckets every 2 minutes! Thank God it had only happened a short time before we got home, b/c the plumber & water damage guys both told us we could easily have had 5 feet of water in our basement, instead of 2 inches. Silver lining, right?

Anywhoo, at least the electronics weren't ruined. Carpet is salvageable, but not pad, drywall, and furniture, Christmas decorations, and some other random stuff. All replaceable though.

Oh, I've got some ideas on this one:
1. Their husbands trust them (uh, yeah).
2. Their husbands don't care. The requirement placed on them to care for their own children can effect this one however.
3. "Skillz", if you know what I mean.
4. Most husbands will GLADLY let their wife go away so that they can then have a CHIT of their own to call in in the future when they want to do a guys-only trip.

-- Rob

My DH doesn't mind because he's gone on a week long golf trip 4 different times, plus leaves me alone when he travels for work. And I have mad Skillz. And, Rob, who exactly are you calling a CHIT? ;)

1. All of us? Really? Seriously? Even Shanaynay? (I can pick on her since she's off to the West Coast.) Hmmm.... You HAVE heard that I'm evil and a "bad seed" right? :rolleyes1

2. I think all of those positions are day jobs. Sorry!

-- Rob

Dude. I DO know how to read back!!!!

/me pokes head in

Hi Jedi Master! I've missed ya!

Hello everyone! Missed all of you too!!! And where the heck is Toots????:confused3

1. YAY! Shannon's back!

2. OMGosh on your plumbing issues. Glad everything is relatively ok. I've NEVER turned off the master water inlet valve when leaving on a trip. Wow!

3. Looks like I need to take up golf! And, really? :rolleyes1

4. Wow! You read WAY back to get that one.

5. :confused3 Now that you're back home, maybe you can crack that case for us.

As for the main water valve.... Apparently the valve we've THOUGHT was the main valve for the past 7 years we've been in this house is not actually the main valve. This misconception occurred because the morons who had the house before us COVERED UP the main valve with a cabinet and countertop!!! Duh. Did I mention the previous owner was my MIL????:rolleyes1

And, I may have to hunt Bonnie down and give her a stern lecture. And a beating. And some cough meds.

1. Hmmm, I meant to correct that post actually. I read back before I posted and it sounds like even shutting off your main valve wouldn't have helped if the problem occurred between the street and your house. :confused3

2. Rowr! Catfight!

Howdy, Friends!! :wave2:

I am pleased to report that I am on the mend. Bronchitis and sinus infection at the same time no is fun.

Did I hear that a certain Flintstone-ish hag finally purchased her airfare for Feb? :yay: That thrills me greatly!! Can't wait!

I am thrilled to see that Shanaynay has returned!! Hey, hag, I wanna hear all about your trip!! How did you like DL? Did you do DCA too? What did you think?

Dis Yoda! I am mighty pleased to see your yoda-y self around here! Hang out more often, ya freak!

Becca, the mountaingoat bites the linguini and drools on your flip flops.

Angus, sorry Gert is being such a tattletale. Time to give that loser something to really tattle about!

Judi, FlowersChild told me to tell you he will meet you at Olive Garden at 3:00 today. Bring your Webkinz.

Squidward, I meant to tell you that that phone pic you sent me of yourself was REALLY attractive! LOL! :rotfl: You looked like a crazed beast! It cheered me up a great deal.

Wendy! Been eatin' any gnarly corn dogs as of late? Which condiments do you put on such an edible, phallic monstrosity?

Hi Rob the Slob! What have you been up to?

Hi Kimmy Kimmy koko pop! i miss your crazy pics!

Hi Kristin! What are your kids gonna be for halloween?

Tricia, is it getting cold there yet?

Howdy to all our other Chattery pals! :yay:

Glad you're feeling a little better Bon. We were all worried about ya! And I LOVED DL! And DCA too. My mother was on her best behavior, and DH only complained a little. Riley is a whopping 42 inches tall now, so he got to go on a lot of rides for the first time. ToT is his favorite! And he rode Space Mountain 3 times in a row. Btw, DL Space Mountain KILLS the one in MK. And PoTC? SOoooooo much better! We ate at Blue Bayou, breakfast w/ Minnie at the Plaza Inn, and had one of the best meals of my life at Jazz Kitchen in DtD.

We really liked the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay on the HM. Very cute. Splash was broken down every time we went by, so we missed that one. Other than that, we did almost everything. Fantasmic & Aladdin were down for refurb, which was a bummer, but I knew that going in so it wasn't a surprise. Other than that, no complaints!!! We got Dreamed too--- got the cool Mickey Ears in the tunnel between the castle and Frontierland. I was soooo excited. My family thought I was bonkers. Which I am, of course.

Weather was amazingly nice, and we really liked HoJo, though the walk home was a bit much at night. Shuttle fees were a bit much, so we skipped it.

Howdy all!

Probably not a huge deal to you Washington DC area folks but I am literally about one mile away from Mr. Obama right now as I type this. Literally thousands of people lined up along the sidewalk waiting to get into the park grounds to see him. (I'm NOT going to the rally -- just close by and saw the crowds as I drove past.)

To give fair representation to the other side, I've seen McCain's Straight Talk Express twice in the last few months BUT I've yet to see ANY of the four candidates on the two major party tickets in person this year (just keep seeing their motorcades and such).

-- Rob

Wave to Obama for me.:thumbsup2

And yes, I ditched you last night for basement cleaning and sleep. I have similar activities lined up for this evening. PAR-TAY!
