Thats good :)

We had a storm like that two years ago. Didn't leave the house that day at all! Oh I hate Ice. I can handle snow...its the ice I hate

I don't understand how women can do that to their children & abandon them. That breaks my heart.
But that girl is lucky to have you!

Girl, me too! It makes me mad enough when dads do it, but how can a mom abandon a child she has carried for 9 months? :confused3 The Ho (that's what Dh and I refer to her as) has had 7 children and only raised 3 or 4, I believe. She abandoned two for the fathers to raise and gave one up for adoption. Not to mention several abortions. I just wish fertility would not be wasted on wankers like her, when there are so many parents to want children and can't have them. :sad2:

I agree. There's personal responsibility when one has a child...
grrr

*thinks happier thoughts than the ones she has of stupid women*

No, 3. Ages 14, 10 and 6. Technically the 10 and 6 are my only biological children, but I have been raising the 14yo since she was 2. Her mom pretty much abandoned her, I have never even seen her mom, and Heather has not seen her since she was 3. No phone calls, cards, nothing. So I just call her my DD and she calls me mom.

That was so nice of you to take her in. She is extremely lucky and blessed to have you. :flower3:

That is sickening. It makes me sad and angry to hear of such low life wankers like that when so many people are unable to have children. :sad2:

Thank you!* I FEEL like a higher class hag in my glasses! :rotfl: DD and I are both feeling much better, thanks! :thumbsup2 Your screen name reminds me of something that made me laugh yesterday. I am doing the Atkins Diet and have only "gone" 3 times in 3 weeks. So yesterday Utahmama said, "bonnie, you need to :pooh:"** I laughed so hard! :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Besides the lack of pooh :rotfl: how is atkins working for you ?? I have been on Alli for a few months, I've lost 31 pounds because of the fear of having an "accident" if I cheat

Thank you :)

We must be :cheer2:

2 glasses of gatorade always does it for me fine.

They still have roller skating rinks? Man..I haven't seen one of those in ages (that being like 10 years) How you had fun!

There's nothing wrong with that. Sadly the liquor store was closed when I got there (stupid Pats game) so I'm out of tequila. Guess I'll open my bottle of Port for tonight. But after that...all the alcohol is gone :(

Aww...that is a really long time to not go. I think something is odd if I dont :pooh: everyday. Have you taken some relief pills yet?

Hey I always wanted a sister, all I have is a bunch of brothers

As for roller rinks, there is only one left that I know of around here and it's about a 45 minute drive, we go a couple of times a year with the YMCA program my DD is in

I would have to agree with you, my DH is so good compared to me.

That's for damn sure !! her DH is a saint purely because he puts up with her :rotfl2:

Not a lot. We had basketball games and baseball practices yesterday. Today was my maternal grandparents' 62nd wedding anniversary so DS15 and I attended their church this morning and then took them to lunch to celebrate. Now, we're watching NFL Playoff football and at sometime today I need to do about four hours of work on my real job.

DW and I are off tomorrow but apparently the medical professionals in this town are not as we have three different medical appointments for three different sons at three different at three different places tomorrow and then DS15 has a basketball game at 5:00 for his high school freshman team. Intermixed in the day's activities is supposed to be freezing rain turning to snow around 7:00 p.m. so that could add some excitement to the day.

Some day off for you guys, I think you would get more rest if you had to work

Not to brag or anything, :rolleyes1 but those icicles in the pics are babies compared to the one's we get in Chicago

I'd love to, but the family and the job might say something. :rotfl2:
If you guys feel like taking a Christmas trip you know were a few of us ladies will be. :rolleyes1

Does Squiddy like the Poly? :)

You guys should come in December with us !! the more the merrier  this will be my fourth trip with Muffy and i'm still relatively sane

Bonnie you are a good person to take that little girl in !! I can't even discuss people who don't take care of their kids, it just breaks my heart

We have good friends that already have two boys (8 and 12) and a girl (14) that are adopting four more kids (siblings, aged from 4 months to 7 years old) so the four kids can stay together. Their mom -- who doesn't seem too stable her ownself -- could keep the kids IF she would drop her drug using, jobless loser boyfriend but she won't do it so the State won't let her have the kids. She'd rather have this guy that she isn't even married to than her kids. :sad2: It sounds like the kids will be better off this way anyways.

I've been thinking of doing Alli after the wedding (didn't want to risk my dress not fitting) so I'm hoping it will work for me. (May have to wear a pad with it though so no 'accidents' happen while at work)

I never had any siblings.

45 minutes isn't too bad. Its sad to see how they have all gone away though. Those used to be the best field trips in elementary school.

No work tomorrow I'm excited. At 3:30 I get to talk to a student interested in WPI for a professor's friend's daughter so at least I have something fun to do.

Don't even go there! I'm surprised we're allowed back after your shenanigans.:sad2:

Hi Melissa what do you do?

I don't know if you watch the Celebrity drug re-hap. I caught it earlier, it was crazy.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer for a major consumer goods company.
Monday is one of our holidays we get to have off so I'm happy.

I don't watch Celebrity Rehab...I saw the first 5 minutes & knew it wasn't for me. I'm currently watching Life is Wild then I'm debating on watching either Atonement, I am Legend or Rendition.

I wouldn't watch the show again, it was scary to see them in detox.

Well since you don't have any siblings, we'll have to be long lost sisters !

I really haven't had any issues with Alli at all, there was a time or 2 that I was kind of bad but nothing happened, the first 2 weeks you might be a little gassy :rolleyes1 but after that, nothing

Congrats on the day off !

Like you have any room to talk :rolleyes1

Trisha and I have been talking about Alli lately. She was telling me all about the problems people can have if they don't stick to the plan! :scared1: I so do not blame you for being afraid to cheat! :rotfl:

Congrats on the 31 pounds lost!! How long did it take you? Would you recommend Alli to your friends and neighbors?

Atkins is going well, I have been doing it for 3 weeks. I did not have a scale the first week so I did not get to see how much I lost the first week (which usually shows the biggest loss out of all the weeks). But the last two weeks I lost 10 pounds. I'm guessing I lost five the first week, so I am guestimating that I have lost 15 pounds so far! :thumbsup2

SHANNON: Melting Pot is Saturday, Feb 9th at 6:00p.m.* :cool1: Be there or be square.

ETA: CRAP, I just realized that I will be at the meet that weekend!! Can you do it the weekend after?

Bonnie, 15 pounds in 3 weeks is great! Congrats.:thumbsup2

As I sit here eating chips and dip.

Yes it is. Especially so soon after starting. I also get Feb 18th off so I don't have to return to work until 3 days after I et home from Disney :)

Yes we would!

Eh...Gassy. I'm already gassy enough, so whats some more?

We can see how something as mundane as a Disney vacation would slip your mind. :sad2: Bonnie's blonde roots really are showing!

wow 15 pounds in 3 weeks is awesome !!! I have been on Alli for about 5 months, I have taken time off for vacations and Christmas & NYs and stuff, so i'm sure I could have lost it quicker had I tried harder

I would definitely recommend it to my friends & neighbors !! I lost the most the first 3 months because I really stuck to a diet, I think after a while it just doesn't work anymore so I would suggest to stick to a diet/excercise program and not take time off, you'll lose weight much quicker that way

Call back and blame the others for screwing up the date.

Its ok.

I love the Melting Pot. I can't wait until Shaun & I move to Framingham & there's one 5 minutes away. Mmm...cheese & chocolate. That's all a girl needs to survive I tell ya.

One's opening in Boston so I think I'm going to try to convince my boss to have the yearly Christmas party there.
