Am I calling the cell #? Just in case my cell doesn't work down there, should we say...10:30...by the little statues in front of the castle? You know, where they have a bunch of bronzed characters? I think they surround the Walt/Mickey big statue. Maybe that will be a bit busy but I can't think of anywhere else....cept' where we get Dole Whips!!!!!

YES...a baby will soon join our family (due the end of Jan.). However, our summer has been a not so great one as well. I have been on and off (more on) bedrest for the past few months and my dad had a heart attack, open heart surgery and we assume a stroke afterwards. He is in a semi awake state at present and cannot feed himself, talk, etc. He is states away and I hate that I cannot be with him. It rots. BUT the baby is a HUGE silver lining in all that is happening.

I am very sorry about your FIL. How is your dh doing with that? Did something else happen with your dad? Last update I saw, the doctors thought he looked better then anyone they had ever seen with what he had. Has something changed? If so, let me know what to be praying for.

I am soooooooo happy for you!!! Do you know if it is a girl or boy? Are you off bedrest? You just made it to the top of my prayer list girlie!!!! But at the same time, I do pray your dad will be ok. My DH had open heart surgery 3 years ago, so if I can help, let me know. I got very knowledgeable about the heart during that time.

My hopes for my dad's illness have deminished somewhat. Dad took a turn for the worse about the same time DH's father got ill (I'll explain all that in a minute). My dad got an infection in the site where they had put a stint in his bile duct, to drain the bile from the liver and gall bladder. It wound up going to his blood stream and he was very ill for almost 2 weeks. Our summer went from bad to worse about 2 1/2 weeks ago. DH's sister called us on Wed. nite 2 weeks ago to tell us that his dad was having surgery that night because he hadn't been feeling well and his mom had taken him to the Dr. and they thought he had a blockage in his intestines. When they openned him up, they found that all but 5 feet of his intestines were infected with gangrene and were basically a dead organ. So, they removed as much as they could and said it was in God's hands. He made it thru the first night and was stable. The next evening, his blood pressure started decreasing and fever was coming back (more infection), they openned him up the next day and found that all his internal organs were dying one at a time. They told us he had 24 to 48 hours. Well, in all of this DH's car died so we didn't know how he was going to get there (they live 8 hours away), but his cousin decided to go up so DH drove with her and her DH. We decided that I wouldn't go, since my dad wasn't doing so well, good thing as my dad was admitted to hospital thru ER with his infection on Friday night (day after DH left). So, DH's dad hung on until Sunday am, all the kids got to see him, my DDs stayed with me, so DH could stay at ICU with his mom. He came home on Sunday afternoon with his cousin with the intention of going back and taking DDs with him for the funeral (we decided I would stay since my dad was tremendously ill). We finally got my dad released last week and they are still waiting to conduct focalized radiation on his tumor, hopefully next week. DH and DDs came home on Saturday last weekend. He seems to be ok, and the girls did better than I thought they would do. Emily even touched his hand, but she told her dad that she shouldn't have done that. But I was able to buy us a new used Ford Escape and DH has taken to driving the van, I got the Escape.

Well that's my summer in a nut shell, I'll sure be glad when school starts back so things can settle down some.

They say it will probably be just a few months, and I know this sounds awful, but as you can see in my siggy we have a big trip planned to Disney in Dec. and I hope that we can still make it.

I don't think you are awful at all, Mary. Most of us would feel the same. Disney is important to us all, or we wouldn't not even be on these boards. We all have an emotional tie to WDW and especially when we are going through a difficult time, I think Disney can really strengthen our family bond. And I dont' think it is bad to want to be able to know the future so you can plan. I just wish you weren't having such a hard time.

T-bone - I am in single hours until the flight leaves. I am so excited, but am starting to get the rock in the pit of the stomach feeling about getting on an airplace - can't wait until I get to the airport and can get a little Zanax in my system. I also can't believe that as many times as I have flown to Orlando that getting on an airplane is still so terrifying for me.

I will have my laptop at Disney and hope to be able to post pictures starting Saturday sometime! Later ladies and hags!
