Hi my Dear Chatters, just thought I would pop in to say I am thinking of all of you. Miss chatting with you gals, funny thing happened.
I was sitting outside and had taken my glasses off (can't see a darn thing without them) and heard this terrible noise and saw something dark coming after me.
I screamed and put my glasses on and there was this killer baby duck that thought I was his Mama. Well...I scared the poor thing and the last time I saw baby he was running across the street to the lake.

good morning starshines! I know I've been away a while but I've been taking care of the most adorable little baby bird all week. We give her away today and I am sad to see her go. Although I know in a couple days she'll be a terror when she figures out how to fly. Right now she is sitting on my shoulder as I type. So cute! heres a pic:

We call her Stella because shes a starling.

oh and btw I got a message from Kim and we are now officially roomies for the meet! Bring on February I'm all set!

Me too, sorry Mindy, I am not a big fan of birds either after seeing the movie "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane" and one sister is so horrid, so mean, she serves her ailing sister a dead bird on tomatoes for dinner and I about FREAKED ... I think I was like 12yo...that did it for me with birds AND tomatoes!!

Sorry, Chatters, I have not been around to chat much.

Diana has been staying with us since her discharge from the hospital and we are having so many problems with her keeping the Vicodin down. I have spoken to the Pharmacist @ Walgreens and the Asst to her MD @ MGH and both feel she needs to stay on the Vicodin and deal the best she can with the vomiting. The Asst to her MD said the nauseous and vomiting is not as big a concern as is her being in pain. The surgery was on the top of her hand where the metal plates and screws were placed. She is on basically saltines and crushed ice. Her hand/wrist (cast) weighs easily 20 lbs. Trying to lift that and maneuver it is a chore in itself. We are all taking turns making sure someone is with her all the time. Today we are off to a Grad Party (DS will be with her) but just for a few hours. Her parents come tomorrow from Southern CT for the afternoon to see her for the first time since the accident.

Awesome Mindy that Kim will be your roomie for the Meet in Feb!
