I am currently booked for the first week of next December. But if there is free dining in September, I might reschedule. There will be some Chatters there aroudn that time, I believe, if they do the free dining. If they don't have it next year, then I'll stick wtih December.

What about you?
We are still hammering it out. Free dining is great. We have had it two years in a row in September. In fact we had two stays with free dining this year! WOO HOO!! However, I would love to see the Christmas decorations. I am also thinking about very early in December or ????? We may try and sneak a quick trip to do one of the Pirate/Princess parties this spring as well. We tell our kids tomorrow our travel plans for the next year but we are going to surprise them I think. We are telling them that our big vacation will be to GA with family. They will be so excited when they see us driving under the WDW sign instead!! :)

We went the week before T-Day....was able to do MVMCP, see the decorations and had NO CROWDS. I would definitely go back during that time again!

Is it super crowded during free dining? One thing I do not want is huge crowds. That's why we don't go during the summer. We just don't enjoy it as much. :guilty:

I haven't been there at Christmas time since I was a child. I want to go then...we may do a few visits instead of one long one this year. Hopefully I can talk dh into two week long stints. One of them will surely be in September. I LOVE SEPTEMBER!!

Bonnie, we've gone the last 4 years at the end of August.
Our schools don't go back until Labor Day.

The crowds are good and there's free dining.
That's how we discovered The California Grill. :goodvibes

Like I said, we have spent a total of almost ONE MONTH during free dining at WDW (oh my gosh...that freakin' rocks!!!) in the past two years (2 weeks in a row last year and a week this year followed by another half week this year after our cruise). Anyhoo...it was NEVER crowded during any of that time frame. The sit down places were ZOOS...totally full. ADRs were HARD to get as people snapped them up way in advance BUT other then that...not bad. THe parks themselves had very light crowds and even in the sit down places it was not that bad...my guess is half of the people who made ADRs didn't show for htem. ???? BUT...we had very light crowds our entire trip. Using Tour Guide Mike and going during such a light time of the year made for very nice days and nights with very light crowds. We have been during the two weeks right after Labor Day and then this year 9-16 through 9/23 and then 9/30-10/4. The second visit (the one from 9/30-10/4 was the most crowded but still VERY manageable!!).

We were there 9/27-10/2 and it was more crowded than August.
but is was manegable like you said.

I better get going. My bed is calling my name. How sad. Just after 1:00 AM on NYE and I am tuckered out. NIGHT!!:)

I think it was the Food and Wine people combined with the MNSSHP people combined with the tail end of free dining.

That's what it was. I never been at that time.
I was at Epcot on the first day of the F & W , I never saw it so crowded!
I'm use to walking around the countries with noone around.
