I tried a new drink recipe tonight that I think I'll serve on Chrismtas morning. I usually serve mimosas (champagne and OJ), but I wanted to try something new.

It's called Frosty OJ.....it was soooo good!

1 cup OJ
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 t vanilla extract
5-6 ice cubes

Add all ingredients to blender and mix!
I am going to quadruple to recipe to make more, but I wanted to try it out first tonight. :thumbsup2

Sounds yummy, T, I would for sure try it at my home, IF, I was going to be home!!! :teeth:

BTW...I think you need to try it EVERY night until Christmas morn..... :rotfl2:

We talked about it over dinner tonight. I could tell he was in a good mood, so I thought it was the perfect time to broach the subject. ;)
If I get a job offer, we'll probably bump it back and do a Disney cruise for Christmas.

I will still have 2 classes that I will be taking in the fall, so I won't be considered "highly qualified" in terms of being a special ed teacher. I am a highly qualified reg ed teacher, but job openings for reg ed teachers are far and few between around here. However, many schools need special ed teachers and may hire me even though I'm not completely done with my master's. It just all depends on if they're more qualified applicants. If I don't get hired, I will have to student teach in the spring....if I do get hired, I can use my own classroom as my student teaching experience. Clear as mud??

ummm, yeah!

Seriously, good luck with your job!!!

Yep ;) :) Special ed teaching? Is this for kids with special learning disabilities or for mentally handicap students?

Does Drew start school this Fall or NEXT Fall 2008??? Because this would probably the last Fall between Drew starting school and YOU having a full-time teaching job that you could all go in Sept...you know...

You are more flexible THIS Sept as as I recall Drew JUST turned 4, so no school until 2008!!!

:rotfl: Thanks!! I'm not completely sure I want to go back to work in the fall since DS still has one more year of preschool. BUT, the sooner I go back to work...the sooner we make plans for building a house. :thumbsup2

Well that makes sense. Better to try it than to over medicate you :) I hope it works so you don't need both. :grouphug:

My Aunt works at a school for children with severe disabilities.....my cousin (her son) goes there , that is how she got started there. She is about burnt out now though...

Exaclty :thumbsup2 . He goes to K in 2008. We wouldn't have a problem with babysitting as my Mom watched him when I was working and would do so again. Plus, he will be going to preschool for 20 hours a week next year instead of the 6 hours he's there now.

The burn out rate is high. My long term goal is to get my PhD and work with schools to develop curriculums or teach college courses. I know I won't be able to work in the classroom until I retire.

The little ones are the best. I am certified to teach up to 3rd grade right now, but I will be able to teach up to 6th when I'm done with my master's. I told my DH that I don't like the kids once they're taller than me! I'm 5'2, so that starts to happen around 4th grade or so! :rotfl:
