What is he missing? I am lost....
His select soccer team qualified for a national championship tournament (they had to win three other tournaments to end up there). Aladdin will not be joining his team as he just found out today that he has a pretty serious tear in his growth plate in his heel and the best case scenario is 5-6 weeks in a cast. And it may be more (treatment wise and/or time wise) then that...we just have to see when he gets an MRI early next week.

He also has a bunch of allergy issues going on and he has to get a allergy grid prick test and he is a bit apprehensive about that. He had a really tough day...

It would be a big disappointment for an adult to miss out on something they worked so hard for...for a little guy it's just terrible...

For a mom watching him learn to deal with this it is heartbreaking.

Psyched Up

In a class on abnormal psychology, the instructor was about to introduce the subject of manic depression.
The instructor asked, "How would you diagnose a patient who walks back and forth, screaming at the top of his lungs one minute, then sits in a chair weeping uncontrollably the next?"

A young man in the rear raised his hand and suggested earnestly, "A basketball coach?"
:lmao: :lmao: Thank you!!

Oh Jay, how sad! Poor guy, and poor mom. :grouphug:

Serious spoilin'. MMMMMMM................rent his fave movie and watch it with him, and have movie snacks.

Read an entire chapter book cover to cover aloud.

Serve him funny face pancakes with whipped cream for breakfast.

Print off mazes from the internet and do them together, racing.

Make your own playdough from different recipes........coffee grounds, sawdust.

Play Monopoly and Chess.

Make Christmas cookies and ice and decorate.

Make a gingerbread house.

Give him a magnadoodle, etch a sketch and Magic 8 Ball. There's a 20 questions ball on the market too, that's tons of fun.

Ah Jay, I'm a horrible mom. I don't DO this stuff. I just know about it and do it at school.

Anyway, I have playdoh recipes at school that I will email you. And I have another email I'll send you about special kids.
