I am going to guess, she probably feels like she knows you based on the fact you are all in this competition together and she has probably heard your DD's name as well as YOURS...heck, she could have called any of the parents going BUT she called you....because she knows you are the TOPS when it comes to going to these comp's with your DD as well as all the practices...do you think?

Don't let it bug you...what do you know of this family? Is the mom and dad too busy to go....did she have a solid reason why she could not go?

She didn't really....she talked a lot without saying much. I guess I am just sitting here after the fact realizing that my DD has relatively straight hair, and this kid has very long curly hair. Of course it has to be straight as a board for the competition.

You are right though, I will just take it as a compliment. I just have a hard time understanding why a mom would miss something like this. Which is pretty judgemental of me.

Honestly, it would bug me, too. I hate to say it, but people are weird today and will sue at the drop of a hat. It's sad that we even have to worry about stuff like that, but I wouldn't want the liability and responsibility of worrying about someone's kid. It's not like it's a friend of yours....that would be different. So, my answer is NO, you're not being witchy.

Yep...I would be a tad bit annoyed...however, I would just take it as I am the marvelous woman that I am and I impressed them somehow...

Actually, do you guys remember that one Saturday night that we were posting pictures of ourselves...like months ago...do you remember, she posted a pic of herself and THAT literally was the LAST time I saw her on and I am on her allll the timeee........

She wouldn't know if I am at any of the games etc. because she never was.
