THANKS!!!!!! That may really help! It's more what he thinks is going to happen then what will happen. He had the test when he was 2 but he does not remember it...so it's like the first time all over again and it didn't really bug him then...but the thought of it has him creeped out...that and everything is a major bummer today after hearing about the cast. But he will be fine. What doesn't kill ya makes you stronger! ;) :thumbsup2

DS had to lay on his tummy (they did the test on his back) until they read it, so we just read books and did stuff like that. Maybe take something small he can do while he waits.

I think I may get him a ton of the Pirates of the Caribbean Lego sets that he has been asking for...Santa may have to pony up and let mom and dad bring these early this year....he needs something he can do while sitting and it should NOT be thinking about the fact that he is sitting...

And yes, I think I will involve him in the planning of the upcoming year's trip. And part of it at least will surely be to WDW. So that will help some! Don't you love Disney? Even when you are not there...it can help to cheer someone up! :)

He is normally so "up"...it's so hard to see him down. But...this too shall pass and it's not like he won't have other teams and other tournaments but he was so proud and so excited. Maybe this will be a good character building thing! ;)

SO...how is everyone else tonight??? I didn't mean to hijack. :3dglasses

I know, Jay and being his mom, you just want him to be him again and have this all over with and behind him and it is not that easy. :guilty:

I remember when my son fell bad and ripped open the skin right above his eye...he needed stitches...this was in the middle of the night and believe it or not it was his NIGHT STAND that he fell against. He was 4yo. I was in more pain over all this than he was and yet he was in pain. I was alone, DH was traveling and I had to call a neighbor to stay with Mike who was 1. He is laying on the table in ER and they are stitching him up (he is SCREAMING) and I was such a mess they made me wait just outside the door of the actual room.

He was so good...the next day I drove this kid to TOYS R US and let him buy all the "Ghostbusters" stuff he could.... :Pinkbounc

I am freezing!!!! It's 34 outside and dh won't let us turn the heater up. My fingers and toes are frozen.

Kar....I truly think things like this are harder on us Moms. The kids seem no worse for the wear, but we are scarred and think about it years later. ;)

Remember I am o.l.d., you guys probably never even heard of GHOSTBUSTERS..... :guilty:

You are so right....I remember this like it was LAST NIGHT....I had bought him this little night stand so he could put all his books and flashlight and juice on it at night....well he FELL OUT OF BED (like little kids do :guilty: ) and hit his eye on THAT night stand. I immediately got rid of that thing. :guilty: But what was so funny (maybe night) I was in such a coma sleep when he is crying and crying on the floor...I NEVER turned a light on, I just ran to his room in his STATE of mine (coma) and told him he was fine and hugging him to get back in bed and he is saying "mom, my eye" and I am saying "your eye is fine" and then I DECIDED to turn on a light and BLOOD IS EVERYWHERE....(I mean we had little night lights) but SHEESH...I FREAKED.... :guilty:

Can you imagine me saying...go back to sleep.......ahhhhhhhh

"CAUSE BUSTIN' MAKES ME FEEL GOOD..." :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: I had a nephew who made me wear a back pack and go around and bust ghosts every time I babysat for him (which was quite often). Also, I think I watched the movie about a million times while babysitting him...and the part where the STAY PUFF (not Stuff Puff...what was I typing?!) got blown up...I saw that even more, he would press rewind OVER and OVER and OVER!! :lmao:
