No..........I've only met DISers online and never any in person. Well, I met one on a trip, but I didn't know her online, so does that count?

have you all ever met someone IRL that you'd only talked to online before?

Yes, I met someone from a pregnancy circle message board on AOL. We talked for 2 years and then met up with our toddlers (at the time) at Chuck E Cheese. We then went back to her house and the boys played for a while. That REALLY freaked my mom out . We still keep in touch through e-mail but haven't gotten together since (we live almost 2 hours apart).

I also met the couple for the fireworks cruise, but I hadn't really talked to her besides e-mailing about the details.

(Before I met him, I dated several men I'd met online)...I learned a little bit about making the transition from online to RL...for me, the "trick" was to bring up conversations we'd had online that were particularly funny or something...that was our common "thread", you know? We still had to meet men in REAL LIFE in my day

I didn't know that you met your DH online. So did you know he was the one when you met him in person?

Nope...in fact, I didn't really like him much at all. But he was convenient (that sounds terrible, I know). I thought he was too geeky. But, I didn't know how geeky he really was until after I fell in love with him

It took me a few weeks before I thought he was okay...and a few more weeks to realize that he was the best thing that ever came into my life...after that, there was no going back.
