The love bugs come-eth?

Insect repellent doesn't help. They just sort of collide with you as they're flying around, looking for a mate, or flying around mated.

If you mean a bug-killing spray like Raid....you'd need a tanker car full of it. I've seen literally thousands of them at one time just at the AK bus platform.

Oh, darn! I forgot about the love bugs. One year, no one could sit on the benches at the bus stop, because they were COVERED in love bugs. And I couldn't sit on my balcony at AKV because of so many love bugs on the chairs. Oh, well-I could hope they're gone by next week. But more likely, I'll have to think like Sparky Griswald, when he said, "It's all part of the experience."

Woah-I just saw that the sightings are reported from May-this is an old post. So there's hope yet of no September sightings?

No they are starting to appear now.

I'm at AKL and they are here. Not as bad as when we usually come down which would be the last week of sept. I'm hoping we can make it througb the week without the huge swarms at the parks/resorts. The gas stations and other areas off property seem worse than here.

They were sporadically around BWV, AKV and BCV from Sept. 10 to 16th. We never were unduly bothered by them.
