Neither!!! Didn't really do anything. Just thought that since he put 2 minutes in, he should be rewarded.

I told him, he gets absolutely no TV, no video games, no nada until that room is clean -- even if that means two months!

You want to come over and sit outside with me? You'd have to bring your own drink though, fridge here is empty.

I swear my kids go thru phases where they act like that and then they turn around and actually do what I say.
I have unplugged the cable from DD's tv before when she would just stare at it instaed of cleaning her room. Doesn't always help though

Hi guys. I've been cleaning. I cleaned all my floors, cleaned my kitchen canisters, washed all the couch throws and bathroom rugs... I even cleaned my stove burners. Granted, these are all things that I did last week before my MIL came, but I realized something today. I like the house being clean. I really, really like it.

Hello, losers!!!! Anyone got any good advice for dealing with someone's ex when you have to share a child??? I've been soooo totally nice and now she's really getting out of control........ I'm now at a total loss, I tried the playing nice but that just makes her worse. Help me!!!!

Hi guys. I've been cleaning. I cleaned all my floors, cleaned my kitchen canisters, washed all the couch throws and bathroom rugs... I even cleaned my stove burners. I know what you mean. I LOVE it when my house is clean.

The last time it was cleancom 1 was probably 2 years ago. DH's grandma wanted to come for a visit. She was going to stay with us for a week, and then with her sister for a week. Her house is always spotless, so I made sure everything was in tip top shape when she came.

Well, she ended up staying for a month!! She'd be here for a few days, go to her sisters for a couple of days, back here for a few more days, etc.

But the house stayed extremely clean for that month she was here because I forced myself to clean something everyday. I loved it! Now, granted my youngest DS didn't have the ability to get into everything like he does today, so it was a lot easier.

Lately, I can't get the house above a cleancom 7, no matter how hard I try. Those rugrats mess it up faster than I can clean! Don't get me wrong, I know a lot of it is my laziness and lack of motivation, who the heck wants to spend time cleaning?? But I think I've just gotten tired of years and years of cleaning up everyone elses mess, and why? Just to do it all again 2 days from now when the house looks like a bomb went off -- again!

From a medical perspective, it takes a long time to starve...dehydration would kill you first....just sayin'.


So I fell asleep with the kids. I must have been tired because I really slept hard. The, in my subconcious, I hear a kid get up...the boy....I hear him go downstairs and think "that's ok...DH is in the familly room"...then I hear the front door open...by the time I sprinted downstairs he was already on the porch. Guess one of my projects this week will be to buy a chain lock for the door.

That is a rough one. I think we would need mroe details. Is she violating any court order stuff? I dont have firsthand experience just what my good friend had to put up with her ex.

I'm back from cleaning Between me, #1 & #2DSs we got both of their room clean. I helped #1DS clean out his closet (2 garbage bags full of trash, ie school papers & artwork that were from K - 2nd grade. I did keep afew pieces from each grade) and then he helped #2DS clean his room, which I came behind and finished, which got 2 totes of toys put back where they belonged. DD is working on her room all by herself (she wanted no help ).
When she is done we are going outside so they can play with their new basketball hoop. Then I'm making porkchops for dinner.

Talked to FE earlier. He told me that last night, while out with MIL & her new boyfriend at a bar, he almost got into it with some genius (to put it mildly) who was going around saying he was a sniper & had been over in Iraq. FE knew that he was full of it and it really pissed him off.
Do this idiots ever think that "hey you know someone might be in here that actually was over there and know I'm full of bologna" ?

So what's been going on, on the Dis today? Anything "interesting"?
