Lara, I just went to the crab cake thread. I told them everything they ever wanted to know, but nothing they asked for!!

I gave them all kinds of info, but not a recipe!! They already had so many.

I actually like your recipe the best. And yes, I have been known to add an egg, but most of the time I don't. It depends on what time of year it is, and how wet/dry the crab meat is.

From all these polls, if anyone ever keeps track, they'll know where we live, what our income is, how many kids we have, what our kids names are, if we like white bread or wheat, how many pets we have, what our jobs are, what our spouses jobs are, whether or not we get along with our in-laws, how many times a year we go to Disney, what sports our kids play, etc, etc, etc.

As JJ said, just start keeping a spreadsheet!!

I'll be honest, I like to pick my own crabs...of course then I figure why waste that meat on a crab cake so I just eat the meat.

Well, I posted a Public Service Announcement that said just that. Pick your own crabs -- it's cheaper!!

But, as an accomplished crab professional, I can pick more than I can eat, so I have no problem using the "extra" to make cakes or dip or something.

DH is going to bring home some crabs tonight, and we're going to eat them tomorrow. There are actually some local Virginia crabs around (same water, same taste, just small). So I dunno if he's going to bring them home, or the big Louisiana crabs. But either way, I'll be eating some crabs tomorrow!!

I have only made a couple of Ebay purchases in the past and I have a question about an auction that I won yesterday. The item was a video game and the shipping listed on the auction was $10.00. I contacted the seller to verify that this was the correct shipping rate was $10.00 because it seemed more like an estimate. I waited most of the day for a response (didn't get one) and decided to go ahead and process the payment with my credit card. Well I didn't notice that he only accepted paypal and I couldn't remember my paypal password so I decided to try again when I got home from work. On my second attempt at payment the seller had added $5.00 Shipping Insurance. This amount was not listed in the original auction and it was not listed on the Pay It Now secion when I attempted to pay from work. Can a seller just increase the price like this? I have tried to contact him and let him know that I am prepared to pay the original price but I have no intentions of paying $5 shipping insurance on a $5 item.

I don't know why I didn't think to look at Bass Pro Shop before. They have some, and I think I see the exact one my DH has been looking for.

He found some guy selling blue crabs by the bushel, so I see a crab feast in my near future.
