Finally back at home and caught up on all the chit chat.

Been at the ballfield all ding dong day. Had to be there at 8:30am for pictures then stay for opening ceremonies at 10am, but me and the twosome had to run back home to pack a bag for them (didn't think we needed to stay) then back and wait till the game that started at 12. Now after stopping at BK for lunch we are home and I still have stuff to do around the house.............................maybe I'll wait till tomorrow.

FE got to his mom's this morning & now they are off to visit his sis & her kids and then out to meet M
IL's new boyfriend.

Too tired to respond to everything I missed so-

 - to those who need them
:cheer2:- to the party people & winner moms for the day

I had to go in my purse for something, and ended up digging 25 $1 bills out of there. I swear, if I didn't know better, I'd think I had been stripping or something in my sleep.

I think THAT right there is the reason I spend so much time on the DIS with you guys.

I don't have to be someone's mommy, or someone's wife, or someone's daughter.

I can just be ME.

Sometimes I feel like I have completely lost that cute, fun, happy-go-lucky girl that I used to be, and turned into some responsible adult that I don't recognize.

I so know how you feel. My husband just doesn't get it at all. I don't have to put on a perfect mom show for you all. I can tell you all anything and do it all while I'm in my jammies and no bra. He was like, "what do you talk to someone on the internet about for 5 hours?" I told him just about anything. I have almost no adult conversation all day except for you guys.

Maybe your brother's new girl friend switched purses with you. :rolleyes1

Men don't really get it. I remember that my first kid was over a year old before I actually had the chance to read a real book that didn't have pictures in it. That was an exciting day!

It's easy to forget all about yourself and just focus on the kids, the hubby, the house. You can really feel like you've lost your identity.

LOL, I remember one time I went into a store to pay for my gas, and I gave them like thirty bucks in ones. They looked at me funny.

I told them, "I'm not a stripper, I'm a WAITRESS, get your mind out of the gutter!"

Oh, and one other thing -- hubbys grandma swears that the reason her "girls" are still perky (at 80 no less) is because she wears a bra all the time -- even to bed.

I thought I'd throw that out there, just in case anyone was interested.
I don't know if that's worth it. I could never sleep in a bra--perkiness be darned.

I should clean. :rolleyes1
Ummm, me too? But as you can see I'm not doing it!

That's kind of how I was yesterday. MIL took the youngest shopping with her and the oldest was in school.

I had two hours to myself, and didn't know what to do. I could have done a lot, but I didn't feel like doing any of it. So I sat on my butt all day, doing a bit of paperwork, sending faxes, emails, posting about the crab stuff on other forums and Dis'ing all day.
OK--you said you didn't do anything and then you went thru this big long list. You did a lot!(it's all about perspective)

This is the first Saturday in months that we've had nothing to do (had to get up when DD left at 6, but I went back to bed). I got back to sleep after listening to my brain for 30 minutes or so. Does any one else do that? Lay down to sleep and your brain won't turn off? Just me? I got to sleep until awakened by DS playing his movie audio thru the surround sound(right below my bed):headache: All I've done is a load of laundry(so I can wear my jeans when we go out tonight) and get some stuff moved from my kitchen to various places in the house: Everything always ends up on one of the counters!

You are very right about the perkiness be damned!

I thought for sure I was going to get some cleaning done also, but it's 4 pm and I haven't even started.

Yeah, I did get stuff done, it's just that my list is like four pages long, what with the business and everything, so I ALWAYS feel like I don't get anything accomplished.

My counters are the same way!! Hubby comes in, drops the mail on the bar, his receipts, the newspaper, anything and everything. After about three days, I can't even see the counter anymore, the stuff is just piled up so high!

My brain is hard to turn off once I get up. I was up and showered at 7:00 this morning because the kids woke me up and I couldn't go back to sleep. If my husband wakes me up in the middle of the night I am usually awake the rest of the night. I have been known to just get up and start my day because I am so frustrated.

Nope, not me. I can fall asleep inside of 20 seconds most of the time. They say that the average person takes 10 minutes to fall asleep. And also that you can tell a truly sleep deprived person, because they will fall asleep within minutes of their head hitting the pillow.

Ok need a vote here.

Should I lay down on the couch and take a cat nap while the twosome watch #1DS play on the laptop. Or go clean the house alittle more?

My project for today was to get all the CVS stuff off bed in guest room and put away. It is now 4:30 and everything is where it was when I got up.

Hi! Still alive. I was a super duper winner mom this morning. After breakfast I threw everyone in the car for an educational outing. We went down to the Smithsonian. Hit Air and Space and then went over to Natural History. It was mobbed, but the kids had fun (I think).

I have a VERY busy day today. Going shopping for some fabulous shoes for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary today. Nothing like waiting till the last minute, huh? Their cow renewal is at 3:00 at church, and im doing all the readings. Lets hope I dont trip on my way up to the alter.
Kate

See red above!
How was your night last night? Hanging this morning :confused3 50 years is great but do "cow renewals" take place on farms
Dang, you totally beat me to that one!
Most of the time, I wear a bra. Only on days when I don't plan on leaving the house do I go braless.

Yesterday, I was braless, and my Dad and his bike gang showed up at my house.

I promptly put on a jacket and walked outside, because no way am I letting a bunch of crotch rocket riders that I don't know into my house.

I hate wearing a bra any more than necessary. I figure I'll just get a wheelbarrow for later in life an flop the suckers in there.

Ironically, it is a package of Ball Park Franks in my freezer.

So my husband took all the kids fishing to give me a break today. The problem with that is, now I don't know what to do. How sad is it that I have a couple of hours to myself and I don't know what to do with my time? :sad2:
SLEEP!
I will be gone from the 15th until the 23rd. I will be in AZ three of those days. All of my family is there so I will be making the rounds. I am sure everyone will be wondering where the kids are and how they are.
Hmmmm....if we move before you get back we'll have to remember to send you the new address...who's going to be Dorky's moving buddy???

:thumbsup2 RIGHT there with you on this one!

Glad you're still alive! We did that last February -- had a blast. We also hit the Lincoln Memorial and there was snow and ice all over the reflection pond. We had the most fun "skating" up to the Lincoln Memorial and throwing snowballs at each other. (Yes, I know that there are signs posted to stay off it, but really, they would have had to arrest us and about 100 other people, and then we wouldn't have spent any of our money on cheap souvenirs, so it's all good.)

And no, not Disney fund. The kids save their 1's and change for Disney, but mom and dad save our 1's and change to help out Santa.
