Funny story on that thread. I actually have been contemplating it for a few weeks about posting it. I was employed at a local hospital about 17 years ago. I worked there for nearly 7 years - thats where I met my DH. After 7 years of raving reviews/evaluations and loving my job my boss decides she wants to get rid of me. Not sure what started it but she had the highest employee turnover rate in the hospital. People would have nervous breakdowns - seriously - over this wretched witch tormenting them and dragging out the when is it going to happen and I will be out of a job. Well it was the 1 job I was fired from. Wrongly and after fighting it I could have gotten my job back but did not want to work for her again....I merely fought the fight because the situation around my demise was fabricated and I would not take that. I will admit when I'm wrong but only if I am wrong! So anyway. My DH (boyfriend at the time) wanted to get revenge....let the air out of her tires, dognap her dog and leave it at a farm so she wouldn't have it anymore, etc. but I couldn't do it. I told him that "what goes around, comes around and she will get hers" Well, after awhile, I get word that SHE got fired. Apparently SHE sexually harassed another woman (she was gay) and that woman reported her. She got blackballed from the hospital and ended up working at Friendly's as a waitress.....yes, before you ask, I had to go eat there with my children to see if it was true. Recently I ran into an old coworker and she asked if I had heard about so-and-so. When I told them the Friendly's story she told me she had heard that this woman had entered a convent. Looking at this woman and how she was in her entirety, I was astonished. Now I can't confirm that this woman really has entired the church but it got me thinking about it and who does it, why, what are the steps.

So there is the story behind my thread.

Y'all I got the funniest book from the library today. It was published two years ago, so you guys have probably read it already, but OMG it sounds just like our loser thread...It's called "Stop Dressing Your Six-Year-Old Like a Skank", by Celia Rivenbark.

Maybe you kid aspires to be a fry cook. The McDonald's Food Cart comes with a little headset just like the dirve-through guy wears, presumably so you can pretend to mutter unintelligible gibberish to whoever you're playing with and they can scream, "What? What did you say?" just like the real drive -through.



This book is a real treat..the first chapter goes on and on about how she talks herself into taking her kid to WDW...what a hoot..This author could be posting on this thread, she is a true loser, can't sew a costume for Halloween, laughs at the perfect moms...OMG..

Ooh--that sounds like it would be a hoot! I'll check it out. We went thru the drive-thru not once, but twice tonight. The same one--just for different kids. THe kids recognized us--so embarassing, even DH felt the need to explain why we were there again!

So, my husband has completely disassembled my van. It's in a zillion pieces. Something went wrong with the timing belt like a week and a half ago. He's been giving me the "Oh, it's fine to drive" line, but I didn't buy it. He pulled out the suspect part, and bearings dropped all over the pavement like flying cockroaches doused with Raid. Plink, plink, plink, everywhere. I just gave him a knowing look and said, "Fine to drive, eh?"

Whew! That was exciting. Went to Walgreens today and spaved (I spent $45 but I will get back rebates, got Rewards, etc) so not too badd, really. DH was impressed. Anything to save a buck these days. Then we went to Runza for dinner--they have the best fries--dropped DS off at home and went to watch DD in a band competition (fortunately inside as it is sleeting again ) DD and DH are heading out at 6:30 tomorrow morning to take her to the camp. I told him I hope to be asleep until he returns, 3 or so hours later! DS can entertain himself on the wii when he gets up--he hasn't played all week. Am I a loser or what?

I have a VERY busy day today. Going shopping for some fabulous shoes for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary today. Nothing like waiting till the last minute, huh? Their cow renewal is at 3:00 at church, and im doing all the readings. Lets hope I dont trip on my way up to the alter.

My mom and I have to get all the balloons to the boat club (where the party is) by 11:00...that should be interesting.

Then were partying all night! 50 years is definitely worth a celebration. Then ill be up at the local bar with all my friends (ill be all dressed up, they'll be in ripped jeans. that should be fun)

Oh one more thing! For those requested in the lounge last night I have pictures! Ill post them over there when I have a spare minute. Might not be till the morning though.

Since it's going to be a busy week, I'm thinking about getting the house **** and span and the laundry caught up so I won't have to worry about it when I'm running from one place to the other all week long. I just don't have the motivation to get started just yet.
