Home projects get done around here they just take FOREVER! And it has to be his project idea or forget it. I have been asking for the one bathroom to be painted since we moved here, 7 years ago, it is puke green, but he doesnt use it, the kids do, so it is not in his range of vision, it is not an issue. Now bc he wanted a big screen TV, the other half of our basement got gutted and redone, now talk about neverending project, it tooka year and a half, he got it done within days of DS10's First Holy Communion party.

The dumb paper doll biography project is almost done, the glue is drying as we speak (type). Ugh Lara, can your DD come up here and be crafty for DS10? Walt is looking pretty spiffy, if I do say so myself. I threatened DS's life if he went into the dining room and touched it

Oh yeah and than there is his teacher, she offered the kids 3 Good Job tickets if they brought it to Open House tom or on Mon before Grandparents Day (gee I guess we are trying to impress huh) so of course my kid wants the Good Job tickets, so this is how I spent my Sat afternoon, making a diroama and paper doll of our friend, Walt Disney.

I am done, wonder if I can convince DH to order out since he went off his diet to eat cake and pizza last night

Ugh now he just told me he think we need to get our furnace fixed, dinner might be out UGH

So here's my idiot moment of the week. DD had a birthday party. I got her dressed, got everthing togehter, ran to the drug store to pick up a present, drove over the the Children's Museum........the party is tomorrow.

Since DD and I were already out, we ran some errands...got containers for her arts and crafts supplies (she loves to draw and make things...I think I picked the wrong kid up at the hospital). We went grocery shopping, so that's done for the weekend at least.

Anyway, we're going to give going out to dinner another shot...we've been trying unsuccessfully for weeks to go out as a family.

ETA...RV, you're my kinda gal!!!! You'll fit riiigght in. Pull up another chair, um, yeah, becareful when you sit on that one, you need to put that book under the one leg, I'll fix it at some point.

Doh! Wrong day for the party, bad. Accomplishing more in one morning than I have all week, good.

I am craft challenged. DS6 started Kindergarten this year. He comes home with "family projects". You know, that force-you-to-have-a-meaningful-family-moment (whether you want one or not) stuff? We have to cut things... and use glue... good lord, the glitter and cotton balls...

Geezzz must be project weekend everywhere. #1DS has a science project that's due on the 4th of Feb. He has to write a report and do a poster about all the phases of the moon.

My DH will get into cleaning/organizing fazes (can't do home projects or remodeling since we live on base) usually when he can't sleep at night. He'll stay up all night organizing & going thru his totes (notice it's his stuff only) and I wake up and see all this crap strewn about the living room, which take half of the next day to clean up. He cleans it, not me, he'd be crazy to think I would clean it up.

okay the ? I was asking about last night about a us girl be killed in Italy turns out it did happen. But they are saying it was maybe nautural causes in the paper. But that is not we are hearing. So I am not sure what the deal is.

Hello

I HAD to have a winner day. My in-laws were coming today. It has been a while since I have cleaned so well.

DD7 went home with them, she doesn't have school on Monday. So I am down to 2 kids. Do any of you want one?

They are fighting, and have been almost all day. I'm thinking bedtime will be at about 7:00. I would put a movie in but, DH thinks it's not good for them. I'm not sure what is good for them but, I can't handle the fighting much longer...

I get so tired of the kids fighting non-stop. Because our regular car is in the shop, we're driving the Pathfinder. Well it's a little smaller, so the kids an actually reach one another. It makes me insane.

It seems to be a slow night here. DH's mother trashed my saturday night out plans. She ended up going to the ER and of course the drs are all jerks and donot know what is going on. Oh she is fine. Just looking for everyone to run to her bed side and worry. When we got to the er we where outside her room talking to the dr and she was laughing with a nurse and haveing a grand old time. We walked in the room and she acted like she was on her death bed. Turns out she was having gas pains. But as she told us she knows she had a stroke and they just do not want to do there jobs. The women should be in a rubber room

I'm super tired tonight...didn't get enough sleep last night. I think I'll curl up with a trashy novel and call it a night....

Howdy all LOSERS!

I started out my morning fairly winner-ish. I got up at a decent time, got the kitchen cleaned, FINALLY put all the laundry away then started putting the stuff in the totes I bought two weeks ago. At the same time I was "playing" WII w/DS. Multitasking you know. At some point I had to start yelling about all the junk that seems to filter out into the family room & roost there. I haven't seen the coffee table in weeks. The couch either for that matter. At that point my friend called & asked if I wanted to take the kids bowling. Sure! They serve alcohol up to the bowling alley. Beer, nachos, hot wings, pizza & tater tots. Doesn't get any better than that!

The best part of the evening...we bought an air hockey table, set it up in the living room & have spent the last 2 hours playing it. Good times. And the kids are now sleeping in the cardboard box that the table came in. I don't know why they even have bedrooms. Somewhere to keep all their crap I guess.

Speaking of home improvements...I started redecorating the kids bathroom during the early part of the summer. Went from rubber duckies to under the sea (not Little Mermaid). So far I have a whale, an octopus & one crab painted on the wall. I pencilled a couple of starfish on the wall 8 months ago & just today decided what color I'm going to paint them. It takes me a loooooong time to get a project done. My goal is to have it done in two weeks though because of the party & because we have family coming in. What do you think my chances are of getting it done?

And another thing, lest you all think I'm turning to the dark side. We've been out of toilet paper since last night & are using Kleenex because I have yet to make it to the store. There's always tomorrow.
