Morning Losers,

The snow stopped sometime during the night but it was replaced by something else this morning...ice and lots of it. On my stairs, on the sidewalk, on my windows, but thankfully not on the street. Though both my car doors were frozen shut this morning...took me a good 10 min to get them open so I could scrape my windows. I was almost late for work, but I made it in the nick of time.

I just may have to put my 2 cents in on the lighter thread.

Morning everyone.

I voted. I think I vote these days just because I get a free sticker.

Is that poor Dollar Store woman still getting a beating? I might have to join in. I'm such an irresponsible parent, you know.

Must be good, must not look, must behave, must not look.....

I avoided it last night and am trying to not go back and join in on the fun ;)

There was another thread that was getting on my nerves.

The one about if a punishment should be motivational or something.

Apparently, they're whining about kids having to write sentences as a punishment, and how these teachers shouldn't be making the kids do that, or whatever.

Hello, if your kid is bad at school, they get a punishment!! Writing sentences, taking away recess time, something!!

But according to most of them, that's not a motivational thing, so apparently, it doesn't work.

Morning Losers,

This is just a drive by. DD7 has a snow day, and the two boys have dentist appointments. Yeah, that should be fun.:lmao:

Hopefully you didn't drink all the beer last night because I might need one. Just to take the edge off.

LUVMYTINK, "Come and let's play together in the nice sunny weather let's all go to Gullah Gullah Island." I was a nanny when that show was popular. Sounds like it's time to get a DVD player in there.

Have a good one.

Mary

Hey Shore...have you done the laundry yet for you trip?

I'm workin on it, I'm workin on it.

A little bit at a time.

The thing is, my kids have made me sick!! DS8 had it last week, DS3 had it a couple of days ago. I got it yesterday. Coughing, hacking, my lungs are burning, fever.

I had pneumonia a few months ago, and I was supposed to get a pneumonia shot once I got better, but never did. As soon as I got over pneumonia, I got mono, and then it was a busy Christmas, then I was at the Lodge everyday, all day. I just haven't had time to see the doctor.

I should probably be going to the doc, considering I'm leaving the state on Friday, and I'll be gone for more than a week. But I'm kind of miserable, and don't feel like getting dressed and going out.

So I've been taking some medicine. It's making the snot pour right out of me, which is just making me more miserable.

Cough, blow, cough, shiver, blow, cough, hack, blow, shiver, gag.

OMG! I just realized that one of the first to flog the Dollar Store woman is someone that doesn't even HAVE kids! Her signature lists her and a fiance.

Oh, didn't we all know exactly how everyone should raise their kids before we had our own?

It's easy to say "I would NEVER" or "I would ALWAYS" do something before you're in that situation.

When you have kids, never say never. And never say always.

DH and I were talking about that last weekend when I was telling him about the drive thru thread & Mr/Mrs. Smith's remarks.
I had to laugh about stuff I said I would never do when I became a parent.
From the ones I remember I think I only followed one of those "rules" The kids never knew who Barney was, except for being a dinosaur on their diapers :lmao:

I tell every new parent this. This is my motto. I even wrote this on one of those corny baby shower games when you had to write advice to the new parents.

I was productive. I so far have registered DS5 for K, helped out at library for DS10, took yearbook pictures, Mommom and DS5, made the mini muffins, and I made some ressies for dining for June. I am tired!

You made me tired just talking about it.

I think I need a nap.

I vote for bringing back beatings in school.

Yeah, I had that rule...til daycare ruined it for me

My punishments are motivational.

They motivate my kids to not get punished again. :confused3

Um, why is there no quick reply button or box anymore?

The only thing there is a quote button...

Oh, I'm too sick to deal with this.

Someone just shoot me now.

Now it's back. That was the weirdest thing ever.

Then again, I am heavily medicated. Maybe it was just me?
