The longstaff Family and free dining trip report day1

friday 7th september

Me age 34 (35 on the 10th september)
DH John age 43
DD Ellie age 9
DS Matthew age 6


we left home at 3.35pm yeaterday and drove up the m6 to manchester....we went via the m6 toll because we had never been on it before !!

we got to the travelodage at 5.30 and checked in for our overnight stay.....this seemed like a great idea right up until 2am in the morning when the hotel fire alarms went off and we all ended up in the car park in our pj's
luckily there are no photos at this point
the alarm was as false one and we went back to bed at 2.45, unfortunatly they went off again at 7.45am so we got up and watched tv before we had to leave to meet the meet and greet car people (this was a fantastic service and i highly reccomend them)
our flight let about 30mins late and was very uneventful other than a small amount of turbulance !

we arrived at sanford and went to budget to collect the car ( took about 1/2hr) and then somehow managed to get lost en-route to pop can't think why !!! anyhow i managed to redirect us via the I4 and we were soon settled into room 8172 overlooking the computer pool.

we shared 2 counter service meals at everything pop and unpacked before heading to bed........early start tomorrow

What a nightmare. My In-laws stayed here a couple of years ago too and the same thing happened! The fire alarm went off several times during the night!
