Today is my birthday and i have lots of lovely things planned for everyone. we arrive at the Magic Kingdom at 8.45am and watch the opening ceremony, I met a lovely disser called Heather (hmillerbarilla) and I chatted to her for a few minutes.
As they opened the park Ellie somehow got caught up with the crowd and we lost her ! it was only for a few minutes but my heart was pounding so much.
After that little drama i stopped to get my birthday badge and see where i needed to check-in for the family magic tour at 10am.
we then headed for splash mountain and rode that and pirates of the carribean (i love the capt jack additions)
we then did the Tour....it was just us and another family of four and i won't spoil it for those who havn't done it but we had such a good time trailing around the MK with our guide (Alexis)
the tour lasts 2hrs and we were famished so we headed for columbia Harbor House for our lunch
the kids had chicken strip meals and me and dh had the tuna sandwich meals, i had never eaten here before but it was a great meal and we said we would def return.
we then headed onto IASW
and then buzz stitch monsters inc and the TTA before heading back to splash and BTMR
It had started to rain heavily at this point so we headed back to pop to change for our dinner later.
As a treat for my birthday i had booked a meal at the California Grill for 7.30pm hoping to see wishes at 9pm
I was once again panicking about the rain.....it had stopped until just after we got to the contemporary but then after we arrived there was another heavy downpour
we had a lovely table near a window with a great view of the castle
The children were very well behaved and the meal was superb, we had lobster to start with
the kids both had the fruit plate
the kids both had the steak
Dh had the buffalo strip steak
i had the oak fired fillet fiet of beef with green beans and barbecue sauce
i had..... Inspired by "The Year of a Million Dreams" - Honey Crunch Cake with Chantilly Cream and Oven-roasted Golden Pineapple and Crunch Candy Crumble for dessert
DH had this for dessert
Valrhona Chocolate and Coffee- Warm chocolate cake with molten center, house-made white coffee ice cream and cappuccino anglaise
The kids had Chocolate Pudding with Whipped Cream for their dessert
Wishes started just as we ordered the desserts and we had a lovely view from our table, it was a lovely way to round off my birthday.....i had so many people wish me a happy birthday it made me feel really special. Everyone should have a disney birthday at least once.
we got the bus back to pop and i sat next to a lovely little girl called juliette and she wished me a happy birthday as well and then chatted to me all the way back to pop
Tomorrow its Epcot and Le Cellier
