hi

i dont know if this has been done but i was just curious to find out what has been the longest queue you had experienced and what time of year.

mine was when we went in november and it wasnt all that busy but soaring had not long opened and it had a queue time of 180 minutes and no fast passes left. needless to say we didnt wait and have yet to experience that ride.

The longest line we have ever waited in (and the girls continuously remind us of it) was when we waited for about an hour to have a photo with Darth Vader at the Star Wars Weekend ~ LOL

We thought that the line was just outside of where you see Sorcerer Mickey at MGM, but once inside it wound back and forth for ages

The girls were NOT impressed (yet we were star struck !!) :darth:

The only one that springs to mind is Kilimanjaro Safari and I think that was 40 mins. We don't wait long for rides now, we like using FP and EMH :)

If a queue is longer than 30 minutes we have a rule that we won't bother. This year at the beginning of May we went to get a fast pass for Peter Pan at 2.30pm - come back time 7.40pm!! Needless to say, we didn't bother with the Fast Pass.

Other longest queue - Home in Bedfordshire to Heathrow, 45 miles. Set off 6.00am for a 9.00am meeting. Arrived 9.35am!! There wasn't even an accident, just loads of traffic. :confused3

Before fastpasses the longest wait was 90 for Splash Mountain ~ That was in late July early August.

Longest queue was 45mins for Phantom Manor, early evening on NYE. I saw several queues last night topping 200mins!!!! Early Oct was madness in EPCOT last year, nearly everything had 60 - 100min waits on several days.

Longest I've waited in the USA was 45 mins for Spiderman because it broke down once we were in the queue. Never waited more than 30 in WDW, like Richard we won't queue over 25/30mins.

We waited an hour for Dumbo and this was early in the morning at about 10am, If my daughter wants to ride something she does not care how long she has to wait, we have to talk her out of it by saying we will come back latter.

On my first trip in 1997 I went with my friend, and we waited nearly 2 hours for Splash Mountain and also Spaceship Earth. This was in late July. Nowadays I don't 'do' queues but as it was my first visit I didn't know any better!!

The longest we waited for a ride was the first time we went, we waited for an hour for Test Track and it broke down right as we were getting to the front, we came back 2 hours later and queued for another hour then it broke down again. We were so fed up, but soon had the smile put back on our faces when a cast member gave us 2 front of line passes to come back later in the day. :sunny:

no we dont do queues either thats why we missed out on soaring. luckily both the times we have been up till now were quiet. september being the best as we were able to just walk on rides. needless to say we did splash mountain about 10 times.

90 mins at US to ride MiB - and it's an awful ride. Never again!

Lol! I used to work at a Co-Op department store and Darth Vader and a stormtrooper visited the store. A colleague and I had escort them through the back of the store to get to the toy department - one of the best feelings I've ever had having to escort Vader!

An hour and three quarters for ET just as the park was closing - first time we visited in 1992. It was endless and we couldn't get out as they'd closed the doors. I would never queue like that again.- by the time we got out, the park had been closed over an hour!

I think we saw 180 minutes for Soarin' last June, it was right near park closing so i'm not sure if it was right! We got there at opening and only queued 20 minutes =] As a rule I don't queue over about 20 mins/maybe half an hour but at Alton Towers this year we queued 75 minutes for Air! No fastpass system of any kind (except for the paid one which only works on a few rides anyway, soo not worth it!) and though we did as much as we could at opening a couple of rides had technical difficulties earlier in the day so we just had to do some of them when we could. :3dglasses

We also waited an hour for Dumbo, but DD loved it so it was worth it in the end :)

The longest for me was 2 hours for Air at Alton Towers as it kept having problems and then broke completely when we got to the front and then I didn't like it so I wasn't a happy bunny!

Took about 45 minutes at Disneyland for Splash Mountain last April/May but other than that most things were quite quick.

I have a 20 minute rule, that way I've mentally allowed myself for a 30 minute wait just in case! This came about after waiting for darn Dumbo for 35 minutes, I had leichmaniasis and my feet were in a dreadul state and was in tears by the time we got to actually ride, I think the cms thought they were tears of joy!

I think that's quite a good rule, Carol! Anything more than half an hour and it just gets a bit tedious. The longest I've queued for anything is 90 minutes for Rita at Alton Towers - unintentionally as we didn't realise how long it was when we joined the queue!! :sad2: The longest queue I've ever seen is 200 minutes for Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland Paris. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Why anyone would queue that long for anything is completely beyond me!!!

We had a similar experience at TT in Aug 2004. The same thing happened every time we joined the queue (no front of line passes though probably because of the huge number of people queuing) and we eventally rode it on our third visit to Epcot

we queued for 1 hour for big thunder mountain in paris last july but we never even got on the ride as while we were queuing some idiot decided to stand up on the ride for the photo oppertunity.
this meant the ride was stopped everybody at the back off the queue was told to get out off the queue.
We were still waiting and no announcement was made to us waiting about the ride no being in operation after about 20 minutes i told my friends son that we had to go because we was meant to meet his mum and my son half an hour before. We had to climb over the barriers and find a side exit to get off.It was only then that i found out what happened and all them poor people in the queue were still unaware that they were unable to ride!!!!!

We have mostly been lucky.

Well, I say lucky, but what I mean is there is normally some disaster before we go which means the parks are quieter than normal.

9/11 - we flew out 9/18 and were lucky to still be able to go!
The parks were fab though.

We rode ET ride at US at 10:30am and the cast member told us we were the 1st people that day to ride it.
She had been stood there for an hour and a half waiting for someone to ride it.
We had the whole ride to ourselves, and we went on it again!

Then on our honeymoon, our trip got cancelled due to a hurricane, so we had to go 10 days late and then there was another hurricane threatening our trip, and then there was another hurricane that hit whilst we were out there!!

Longest que prob Peter Pan, 45 mins or so.

I don't normally bother if it's more than 30 mins either!
