Back in 1991 my then boyfriend and I went to Walt Disney World. We were both in our early 20's, just out of college. My parents lived in Orlando area, so we were visiting them and did a few days of Disney.
In August.
Enough said?
We were waiting for the submarine ride, it was about 110 when humidity was taken into account. After an hour or so, we were getting snippy. Another hour and he was ready to go. I took some of my ice water (how was it still icy, I don't know, this is an OLD memory now, lol) and flicked it at him. He said something to me and I threw the whole cup at him to "cool him off". He LEFT. Told me he was getting a cab and flying home. I thought for sure our relationship was over, that my soul mate was leaving me forever. I chased him down, we ended up talking it over, cooling off for real and marrying 3 years later.
It was one of only 3 fights we had in our first 10 years of relationship all cause of the hot humid Disney World lines.

PS when Great America in Gurnee, IL opened up the American Eagle back 30 years ago my whole family waited for hours to ride it. I think it was at least 2 1/2 hours, maybe 3 1/2. I remember a sign, about half way through the wait that said "Wait time from here 2 hours 45 minutes" The starting wait time was 4 hours. But it went faster than that. It was worth it, I still remember sitting in the front car right next to my Daddy. He was obviously larger then me and they only had lap belts, I flew out of my seat down the first hill and remember vividly him grabbing me so I didn't fly out of the coaster! Ah, the joys of coasters as an 8 yr old when you didn't even use seatbelts in cars.
