I don't know if this is the section to write this post in, but I wanted to make a comment on the proposed "Little Mermaid" ride that the Imagineers created a while back, but that never got off the ground. I found it on the second disc of the Platinum Edition of "The Little Mermaid" today after buying it and all I can say is this...

DISNEY...YOU MUST, MUST, MUST, MUST, MUST GET THIS RIDE OFF THE GROUND! PLEASE INSTALL IT INTO EITHER DISNEYLAND OR DISNEY'S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE! PLEASE BRING BACK SOME OF THAT ORIGINAL DISNEY MAGIC! I WOULD RIDE THAT RIDE OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER AGAIN!

Again, I don't know if this is the section to write this in, but I wanted to get my opinion out. I don't know if any Disney people/Imagineers visit this message board, but I wanted to get my view out in the air! I believe, without a doubt, this ride would make an awesome edition - especially to California Adventure. It would definately help start drawing people over there!

BUILD THE RIDE, BUILD THE RIDE!!!!!    :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:

I am picking up my copy at the Disney Store tomorrow. I can't wait to see what this ride would have been, although it might just depress me that they didn't do it. Maybe the hype the rerelease of this movie will stir up will get the idea going again? I hope so, I love that movie and cannot imagine not loving an attraction based on it.

Lets hope they read the Dis!! They sure could get alot of great park ideas. Is there a better place than here with its loving public? I picked up the DVD today. Im excited to see the ride.

What I'm hoping they're doing is testing the waters (no pun indended - :rotfl: ) to see what the public's reaction is to it. Hopefully if it gets a good enough reaction they'll end up installing it somewhere. I just hope it's either at Disneyland or California Adventure. Haven't you Disney World people gotten enough already?! LMAO :rotfl2:

The perfect two spots for the ride are the following - IMO...

Disneyland
Remove the Fantasy Face Painting and turkey leg cart section and add it over there next to IASW. They could have it be two stories and have the monorail go through part of it like the train does for Splash Mtn.

Disney's California Adventure
Remove some of the restuarants (I can never spell that word right) on the pier section and have the exit be next to Ariel's Grotto.

Those are just my thoughts.

Both of those places are good ideas. As long as they keep the place with the really good turkey sourdough sandwiches. :goodvibes

You're too funny!

I have a billion other ideas for both DL and DCA. I'm actually looking into becoming an Imagineer. I just visited the website for the first time about his info. VERY informative! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I hope your dream comes true. :shamrock: I think I might work anywhere in DL. DH says it would suck, and "what would YOU do anyway?" I told him he should become rich so that I could retire there. Then I could just hang out. And watch other enjoy the park. :goodvibes

Ok. lucky I had a map near. It is the Boudin Bakery on Pacific Wharf. So yummy! I think that they sell Mickey shaped sourdough bread there too. :earboy2:

Yeah, it's the same place that sells the Vallejo Vegetarian Chili or whatever it is. Robert and I ate there during my last trip and he got the turkey sandwich.
