The Lint Thread

Maybe I should post this on the Budget board. Mods please move this if necessary. I have WAY too much drier lint. But I'm also short of funds for Christmas this year. I'm thinking of spinning all my drier lint into yarn and knitting mittens and scarves for everyone in the family. Is this tacky??

Not tacky at all!:upsidedow May I suggest making the dryer balls that they make from them instead. My jaw almost hit the floor when I saw the price!

If the lint from your dryer is chocolate brown, would it be spelled Lindt?

I used to clean the lint trap when I would dry my golfing shirts, but stopped..

so I guess you could say I've given up fore lint.

;)

My dryer lint is not always gray. It depends on what color the new clothes and/or towels, blanket, etc. are. The other day I washed/dried a burgundy blanket and the lint was burgundy. :)

Oh my goodness, you guys are hilarious!! Ohhh, how I hoped there'd be a lint thread after reading yesterday, and here it is!! LOVE IT!

I'm in an apartment building, so the lint from the dryers isn't necessarily even MINE when I clean it. Ewwwww....

OP here. I didn't want to be one of THOSE OP's who start a thread and then never check in.

I am surprised at all the SPECIAL lint colors that people report. I think some of the stories are "made up" (you know who you are!)

:cool1: Just because a lint thread needs a smiley or two. :rotfl2:

How come we never see people on TV messing with dryer/washer/navel lint, etc?

It's taboo. Too risque for tv. Like when Lucy and Ricky had seperate beds back in the day.

By the time our grandkids grow up, I am sure everyone will be displaying their lint on tv.

I, for one, am only too happy they keep lint behind the scenes. Some things are not for public consumption. Is nothing private these days?!?!?!?!?

Am I the only one who never gets belly button lint??? I have a freakishly deep innie too. Never been an issue :/

Seriously? Who comes to a Disney board seeking medical advice? Run, don't walk, to your nearest Lintologist ASAP!!! Seek professional help, immediately if not sooner!!!

I agree with the multiple-colors-depending-on-the-laundry theory. Ours ranges from pink to blue, with a lot of grey in between.

And did you know that lint with a little candle wax dripped on it makes great fire-starters for camping?

Obviously you did not read the entire thread as I have already stated this!

;) :rotfl2:

Speaking of dryers...did you know that if you rub dryer sheets on your baseboards, it prevents dirt and dust from sticking to them? I know...you are welcome

I get a ton of lint but I think it's because my new Sear's washer is eating up my clothes!!

All my lint comes out as perfect snowflake shapes. Nobody has lint as special as mine. One time a repairman tried to tell me that my lint was like everyone elses but I know he was lying. I went to his boss and got him fired.
