Hi everyone, I wanted to try an expirment; to see how a guest lives, Today I started out by being free in a free room, I was treated very rudly just because the items were not rare and they already had it isn't the point of free just getting free? I did not put free rare in the room title bc I did not have any. I have pics of how rude I was treated....

I am not really a guest this was simply an expirment, The worst part about giving free items was that people were changing their clothes and getting back in line trying to trick me and when i said I already gave you free they lied and said they just came in, I caught someone when i said you couldnt have just came in here because I closed the room ;) .

FYI, the names are still visible at the top where it says "_____ offers:"

Free is free, I can't believe people would beg for more. So ungrateful

Wow, I'm sorry that happened, mic. Why do people have to be so rude? I mean, it's free. If you don't like it or already have it, shut up, take it, then sell it for 2 credits. Really. :sad2: It's not like anyone HAS to give stuff away, if they choose to, they're nice and you're lucky, so quit complaining already. Some people. :sad2:

Seriously, it's free! It's not like you get scammed or anything..

sorry about that All Pictures are fixed :) Tomorrow I will focus on pirates so if you can see my title in the pics give me a shout :)

That is pretty pathetic that you are giving stuff away and people are begging for more. :(

ok well I have some updates, Pirates went pretty well I was treated fairly, However when I went to trade rooms it was something totally different....

I was not treated fairly because I was a guest, even tho alot of guest are fairly new to the game, it still doesnt give people a excuse to be mean to guest, When I asked to trade the trade was often Declined.... and when I asked what they were Trading they Ignored me.

And there was one particular trade room that was very RUDE it is a very well known player and it was filled with Known players and accidently I stood in front of someone who had Green Flips and was booted right on the spot....

PM me if you would like to know the players Title and the Room Title.

Thanks!

yes and like Narnia said to me, It could make a Guest's day :)

Wow, you know, it really bugs me when someone opens a free room and is kind enough to be giving some (or all) of their stuff away for free and most people go in and say "do you have any rare?" "I want rare hats" or "I want rare pants" etc. They can't even appreciate the fact that they are getting stuff for free! I don't like the "no rare, no care" attitude going around. I have received tons of cool stuff from free rooms, and while none of it is rare, I was so happy to be getting it all for free because I am very new to the game. It's just such a shame that people really don't seem to want it unless its rare. Such a shame if you ask me!

Speaking of "life of a guest", it is kinda hard. Before my title was approved, I was really intimidated by everyone else. And I wasn't alone. Almost all of my friend requests in the first couple of days were from other guests. I never went into trade rooms (and still don't) because I didn't have any of the "good" stuff that people are looking for and nobody would have wanted to bother with me. It was alos kind of embarassing seeing my name up on Fireworks or Pirates as "Guest..." because everyone knows that you're new  But I love the game and I am excited to get into the game more and see what happens! :)

you just have to find the right ppl to talk to my name is at the bottom of this and your welcome into my room anytime and as me as a friend usually what i do it rotate the ppl on my list if they dont log on for awhile i delete and add someone knew to meet alot of different ppl and the old ones still know where to find me lol so like i said come on by i have a quest in my room and will be putting in the blue princess for ppl who dont have the credits to get it can try to win it

I don't open free rooms, it brings out the worst people in VMK. I do however have a trade room that I will pretty much take about anything from kids(you can usually tell them from the way they chat and their actions they are small kids) and try to give them something of equal or more value. Today I took a green nemo chair(value 500) and a green throne chair(prize from pirate chest)and gave the kid a set of tea cups(value 650) and three slipper chairs(value 450). I had the exact same items for trade in my room so I did'nt need them, but the kid was so happy he thanked me forever and requested I be his friend. He was happy because he now had 8 chairs for his rooms instead of 2, he cared little of the value and more of the quantity. I will even take crates, and trees for items because I will use them somewhere later.

The ones that bug me most are the beggers, "can I have free I am poor" than show you a shirt that you get when you start VMk and refuse to take a tea cup, slipper chair, flying rug chair, etc for it. Than ask for a mickey tv or some other in park quest item one right after another. It pretty much tells me this is no little kid and this person has done this scam alot, so I give them nothing except a boot out the door if they keep bugging people.

So if you ever come to my trade room, expect to see some lower priced items scattered around. Some of the smaller kids can't even go to the spaceshop because they can't beat the space suit quest, so to them that stuff is rare. You have to remember some of the younger kids are not good at the games and with everything costing so much and coming out so fast, they can't buy everything with what they make doing the dailys, so help them out abit.

I have a two room trade room connected by a teleporter, one room has the stuff from the space shop for those that can't get there. All I expect for those items are an equal trade value. It has made a lot of people happy to be able to get the items they can't get to the store to purchase.

I personally think this experiment is flawed. You went into the entire thing expecting to be treated bad and I dont know how the experiment was conducted but I can tell you if a guest were to randomly ask me to trade I would decline the same way as I do anyone who does it, same with asking to be a friend with out talking to me. I dont treat guest any better or worse than the person standing next to me on the dock who I have not met yet. I think a better way to do this entire experiment would be to go into the game expecting it to be the best. Dont even look for flaws and bad things because a real new person would not. Ill bet if it was approched that way it may turn out different.

I actually Dont agree with this, The purpose of the trade room expirment was to see if anyone would trade, how is anyone that is new ( that includes guest) are supposed to get any items that are not sold, sure they can go to the Disney parks and play quest and get items but what about the others who cannot get to Disney Parks?

And that doesnt make up for me being booted just because I accidently stood in front of someone.

Edit: Plus I didnt ask randomly I asked what they were trading and they Ignored and I went into rooms with a postitve mood and just like I would play VMK everyday.

Some people are so ungrateful for free.... I gave a ref hat to this one new player, and I was like "I hope you enjoy it," blah blah blah... and then what does she do the next second? She puts it on, takes it off, and trades it! With me standing right there! I didn't say anything, but I sure felt like it.

I somewhat agree with what Barb says but it's a good point that in a trade room it's usually in the trade box where the talking takes place. I think the experiment is successful in that aspect but in terms of just being in public and going around asking for trades without talking to people, that sort of behavior shouldn't be expecting of any nice behavior back because I think as VMK-ers, we all have seen guests who disrespect everybody around them! So it's not targetting you specifically but defending ourselves against guests who are out to cause trouble.

Being a guest also means that they are new so they very well could be declining because they might think you aren't sure about what you're doing and they don't want to be reported for scamming you. I know how life is as a guest, nobody really respects you but it's only because there are people out there who have tainted the guest name. I can't remember how many times just within the past month (when I first started) that a guest has been rude without any reason to me! The best thing we can do about that is either ignore it or encourage better behavior in the VMK rooms.

- Update! -

Hi, I have a update, I was just in a pirates game with a DISer, In the lobby I said hi and there was no response, then when we went into a pirates game right as I dodged cannons from the DISer, the DISer left the game and we won... I know for a fact because the picture speaks for itself that the DISer left and didnt DC because noramally if you DC you get eaten by the kracken and why didnt the DISer want the credits? I think The DISer left because The DISer was losing... Here is the Pic:
