Please do. I love snowy pics.

Which reminds me...I'm almost done loading the pics of my trip to the rain forests of South America.

As soon as I'm ready to outline my journey I'll come here first.

Just WAIT until you guys hear what the "locals" think of George Bush.

:teeth:

I offered to smuggle them across the border. But, they prefer local beer and loin cloths.

I'm still mending the bruises I received on my wrists while shackled to that tree.

S'all for the fight.

:hippie:

Did you pass out the Good Book to the locals?
The good book being the Liberal Handbook, of course

Ahhh, sounds cozy! I'd love to see a pic. DD and I drove to Santa Fe early this morning for her figure skating lesson. When we got there, it had just finished snowing a couple of inches. There's nothing like a fresh snowstorm when everything is white and untouched. The Sangre de Cristo mountains were amazingly beautiful!

How's your storm doing now? I love when it snows, but can't stand the clear cold, dirty, slushy, icy days that follow a big storm.

I love Santa Fe on mornings like you've described. I could hide in Santa Fe for the rest of my life.

Hey...guess what?

10 days!

Hello Libs, did everyone get their inaugural invitation yesterday?

I'll be sleeping during the swearing in ceremony :guilty: but I'll be awake later, and when I get back home the next day I can watch it on DVR.... thank god for DVR huh? My doctor got in the way of my plans that day, BLAH....

Apparently we are supposed to get a snowstorm starting around midnight, it's supposed to snow for 12 hours, and we're only supposed to get an inch or two, something seems wrong with that forecast, I'm just saying! We have to go out in the morning.... I might have a friend drive us since it won't exactly be safe for me to do the driving I'm afraid....

I know of a great ranch for sale about 10 miles from the Plaza. Honestly, it is a steal at $1mil. Let me know if you are interested.

Prof...that would be my dream.

I'll let you know when I win the lotto. Or when I marry up.

Sadly, I can't help you with either one. If I had the money I'd buy it myself. Have spent many a great time there, and in Santa Fe. Stop by the Plaza Cafe for me sometime.

We're there often. I'll cheers ya' from the Blue Corn Tortilla Factory.

They have some damn good margaritas.

And what a great liberal town it is. :thumbsup2

I'd fly down there just to have dinner and drinks if I could afford the flight.

You ever go to BobCat Cafe?

Me, too (if I could afford to live there)! It's a nice liberal, earthy community. :hippie:

No, no invite here. :confused3 Did it come in the mail? Our community mailbox lock is broken, so there wasn't any mail delivery yesterday. We have to pick up our mail at the PO or just wait until the lock gets fixed. It's supposed to be fixed by Monday.

Be careful on the roads. It can snow for hours and not stick, but when the sun goes down, the roads turn to ice and then snow covers the ice.

They have some killer pinon pancakes! Haven't been there in a long time, but thanks for the reminder!

I was just saying that (bolded part). We saw tons of Obama and other liberal stickers on people's cars in the parking lot today. So many that DD took note! I've never been to the BobCat Cafe. We usually stop at Horseman's Haven Cafe and pick up breakfast burritos if we are there early and have enough time for the stop (which we didn't today). Okay, my mouth is watering for some red chile now  . Thanks a lot!

I got my invitation!!!! Will be watching from the comfort of my couch however as I feel it is financially irresponsible to spend what it would take to get there. I did kick in some cash for a I work with to go. She's representing all of us!!!

My DGS who reminds me of your DS..

It came in the general mail.... we were supposed to go, had our hotel, we were set, and then, well, stuff hit... as most of you know.

Anyhow, I only drive in the daytime, so if I can't drive out in the morning, I'll have my friend drive us out and my DH will drive us back at the end of the day, so I'll be safe either way :goodvibes

Santa Fe is amazing. I could walk around down there in a daze...all day, every day. Being amongst all those tree-huggin' libs is wondahful!

The Bobcat Cafe doesn't sound familiar?

A recommendation?

Have to check it out!
