I'm afraid I don't understand the TV issue. I have an old TV. We are not very hip, I'm afraid. All our friends have flat screens.

Eh, I'm bored.

I did however, just order 3 sets of Bar practice CDs. In my day, kiddies, you read your notes and there were no new fangled CDs with lectures on them, let me tell you.

Um yeah. Not so exciting. If you move, you shouldn't have to take the Bar again. I'd like to complain.

I guess there will be some who will be without TV transmission. Hopefully, they get it corrected right away.

I was going that will affect mostly the poorer folks - but then, according to the Obama Stimulus thread - most poor people have flat screen TVs......

I certainly don't expect to like every decision Obama makes, and I don't expect any of us who voted for him to either.

I sure as hell am unhappy with his decision to put Tom "I AM THE IDIOT WHO CREATED THE TSA" Daschle in his cabinet.

And I still don't think that Clinton was the best pick for State.

But overall, I'm happy with our president-elect.

I certainly see Obama's point on this, but I agree with you. I want the transition to happen on schedule.

I agree with you Laura....we have been hearing about this transition for the past two years, it should still happen in February, IMHO.

Apparently if you have cable - you don't need to understand or care about the digitial transmission issue.

I don't have a flat screen TV either. My TV is about 4 years old - and flat screens then were mucho dollars.

I think I have a 32 in normal heavy TV that only cost $300.00

I, too, hate tests!!! I am preparing for my third different Praxis test...this one for my reading certification. ETS just makes money hand over fist!!! Each test I took was at least $120!!!

The Bar here is $1200 if you are certified in another state, $600 if you're not. And, um, an additional $250 if you're turning it in late. Which . . . I am.

No, I'm not enthusiastically onboard. There has been sufficient time for people to obtain the converter box. The transition should not be delayed. And if folks are without TV for a while, they can listen to the radio or even better--R E A D a book, newspaper, magazine, etc....

Even Markey, for whom, as a citizen of Massachusetts, I find myself often apologizing on behalf of, is saying not to push the transition date (but rather address his concerns some other way).

I'm for the Republican perspective on the digital television transition -- against the Obama/Podesta perspective regarding it.

Bicker, I agree with you (and them) about broadcast TV going digital. People have had plenty of time to get converter boxes (even if the coupon program was a PITA).

So am I.....It's the best way of discovering the scope of the problem (if there is one).

I agree with everyone. They have been running commercials for the past tow years regarding the digital television transition, so go ahead and stick to the date.

Robbery. Add in $300-$500 for annual bar dues and $1,500-$3,000 for CLE courses and it is very expensive to maintain a license. It seems like many southern states do not have reciprocal agreements - it is tough if you are moving to the state but welcome if you have an established practice here. If S.C. had reciprocity Myrtle Beach and Charleston would be filled with semi-retired lawyers from New Jersey and Ohio. Good luck.

Digital TV and it's conversion is way down my list of concerns. Way down.

We are on the verge of a depression. It's not that I want a delay, it's that I don't care.
