Did everyone see the news that five Blackwater security guards have been charged with manslaughter and weapons violations in the deaths of 14 Iraqi civilians? I'm glad that the US government is holding these people accountable for their actions.

Blackwater is mercenary scum. They ought to be turned over to the Iraqis for trial.

One of the first things President Obama ought to do is tear up whatever contract the Bush government signed with Blackwater and demand the return of the weapons they were provided. And then given a swift kick back under the rock they crawled out from.

Mercenaries have been scum since ancient and they haven't changed.

Well, even as an advisor, he could add tremendous benefit for the team It's remarkable who Obama is meeting with and who he is not meeting with.... bringing accountability to the job seems to be a top priority....

Last year from the 15th to the 20th I was at the VWL! It was my first Christmas trip and we had a ball! The crowds didn't thicken till the Friday we were checking out. This year, with the sorry state of the economy, it may not be as crowded. Which is sad, of course.


It was very cold at night, in the 30's, though the last day it got into the 70's and we swam.

Have a ball those who are going! I wish I was there, we could have all met up and had an Obamamama!!

Oh well - its supposed to be the ONLY day it rains on our trip.

I guess we're used to it - we were there this August during that hurricane that didn't want to leave - it rained EVERY day we were there!

Don't have much time to chat, I am readying the guest room..I understand they are closing Gitmo and it was suggested we take the "terrorists" in...
so much to do! If they are teens should I send them to the local public school, or would that be too dangerous?
