Thank you all so much for your congratulations and encouragement! I haven't been able to check up on the disboards (my own personal addiction!) for the last few weeks due to severe morning sickness

I think I need to forward this thread to DH...it never hurts to remind him that I should always get anything and everything I wantb

Just kidding...he already pretty much gives me anything and everything anyway...and usually mentions something about still being madly in love ...or maybe he's scared of the hormone fluctuations accompanying pregnancy??

Lenshanem...I probably took it like an insult, and for that and my tone, I apologize. You would not believe how many comments, snide remarks and looks I receive based on the size of my family. So what was an innocent comment on your part, I probably read into it something that wasn't there.

We get that all the time, too. Last summer I was at Disneyland with all 6 kids, but DH was speaking at a conference for the day, so it was just me & the kids. DS(12) was getting frustrated by the frequent unkind comments, and when one woman asked, derisively, "But are these ALL yours?" he snapped back, "No, the other half are with Dad..."

And to the OP... 7 kids... wow... my moms family was pretty well known for having lots of kids, but I just couldn't imagine. I'm one of those that "thinks" they'd like to have kids (despite the "different demographics" thing) but I like to be able to send them home at night.... babysitting my nephews spoiled me that way I guess.

Oh, and another thought about getting your GV's... they book quickly at OKW, so you would need a rather hefty OKW add-on to cover your stays there. Not sure about SSR. Another option might be to put the older kids in a studio while you get a 2BR.... They could try and get your 2 room close together... Just thoughts.

Anyway congratz on #7 and good luck with the other add-on too!

I love that my kids have lots of aunts & uncles they're the BEST babysitters in the kids' opinions! ...we often take an extra pair of hands or two (aunts/uncles/g'mas/gpas) along on a family trip...it's win-win. We all have fun together that way!

I think with about a 200 point add on at OKW, we could manage through banking and borrowing to have a GV 2 out of 3 years (skipping a trip every third year) during the season we like to go, and alternating between SSR and OKW. I do like your thinking about maybe using a 2 br plus a studio if we want to go more often. That's pretty much what we do anyway when taking extra family with us, so we might be able to move a child or two into "their" room without too much inconveninece.

If i were you i would get a 2-br and a studio. The 2 br for your husband and the 7 children and a studio for yourself. You deserve the break!!!! of course i'm only kidding. congrats!!
