Morning comes on the train and the kids are up and about by 7 of course. We find out that we are on time since it's the weekend and there's not track work going on so we'll be in the station by 8:30.
We hit breakfast and start the packing up. It's amazing how much stuff 2 toddlers can bring in 2 bags to use when they are only awake for about 4 hrs of the trip.
We step out of the train and WOW IT"S HOT OUT!!!!!!
We watch the SUVs coming off the traing looking for ours. Last time down we were spoiled since we were 1st off the train, I guess that's too much to expect every time. We wind up being about the 25th car off, about a 20 min wait.
We stop by a scrapbooking store that my wife wanted to check out then a quick stop at Kmart to get a few things that we realize we missed. While in the store we stop being of the smell coming from my daughter, how she filled her diaper that much I'll never know but it's outside to change the diaper, the clothes, shoes, everything.
Of course now that she's made room she's hungry so we stop for a quick bite to eat before heading to the world.
As we're pulling into disney I can see the clouds building off in the distance, which will come 1st, the rain or us to the pool.
My 1st surpise for everyone is that I've been staying we are staying cheap at the all-stars, really we're going to the WL. I pull up at the MK tollbooth and just say I'm going to the WL so wife doesn't suspect yet. I just say that we're picking up hoop-dee-doo review tickets for later. But once we get to the WL gate I have to say that we're checking in. Wife and kids love the look as we pull in. 'I thought it was odd that we had to get the tickets now', I guess the switching of the hotels isn't an easy suprise to pull off.
We get all unloaded, how many bags did we actually bring, it's like a clown van with bags that just keep coming and coming. I head for the check-in as wife trys to keep track of the kids.
Not many people waiting on line but I of course get the slowest guy in the world. He gets me checked in rather quick but then for some reason can't seem to get out tickets printed for the hoop-dee-doo, it takes him about 10 min. Finally he gets them and I ask about being a flag family(that's the only reason I'm in a rush, I can just see someone jumping in front of me). He says he thinks there might be an opening and gets the book and sure enough there's 1 opening, the next to last day we willbe there. Put me down and my next surpise is now setup.
We head up to the room, thinking to try and hit the pool, we all get changed, look out the window and no rain yet so we head down. We open the door and it's a downpour. Well no pool yet, lets head back up to the room.
When we gte back to the room we notice a nasty smell in the bathroom area so we call down to the front desk and they say they can move us. We get moved up 3 floors but still close to the elevator so it's not too bad.
Again the skys clear so we head to to the pool, but again we open the door and the downpour starts. At this point we realize the pool won't be happening today and we start thinking this is not a good start.
We decide to get dress for the show and head over to FW about 5:30. At this piont it's again stopped raining, for the moment that is. We get to FW and got to look at the animals and of course it starts raining. Of well, lets just live with it.
We head to the show, what a great show. Wife and I both love improv and you can tell these people really love doing it. One of the best parts is they go around finding were people come from and do little stories about, well they get about 8 people in a row from Penn and start running out of ideas. They made it through but you could see on their faces that they wanted some other states.
After the show we head back to the WL, not a bad 1st day. Daughter falls asleep on the way back but son is of course ready for action, as we winds up being most evening.
Tomorrow we'll hit the AK to try and work around the crowds.
