Eeeewwww no! I have tons of that type of thing around here to do too... don't wanna. I want something fun and exciting and wonderful to do! I....want to.... hmmm.. what DO I want to do? I want to hop on that Windjammer cruise and end up on a deserted island somewhere, I want to win the lottery and run around giving money to those in need, I want toooo... sky dive and hang glide, fly to the moon, and then move to Fiji and swim with the dolphins and.... oh heck with it... I'd settle for going to town to spend my gift certificates but I'm too lazy to put on make up and drive the 20 min. to get where I need to go. Hmmm.. guess if I can't get off my behind long enough to drive 20 min. I'm not likely to make it to the moon anytime soon am I? Well... maybe I'll work on Fiji instead then... I don't think it's as far away as the moon.

I'll go shopping with you Kim!!
I want to go bracelet looking :teeth: You could help.
I am already so obsessed that I was dreaming about them last night (guess I shouldn't have looked at that website before bed).

But, no.....looks like 2 days of cleaning and taking down decorations and then cooking and "family time" on the 1st!

So, with that, off I go to write to Carol and then run the vacuum around some.

I want to shop with you guys!!!!

I'd love to get into this bracelet thing! Probably shouldn't though....I have a feeling it costs money to play this game!! :p

Hey Nancy, I just sent off a letter to Carol. SHe's going to have a treat in the morning!

Hi everyone!!!

Pam and Jay I hope you both feel better soon. (((((Hugs))))))

Kim I have had days like that and I hate them. So much to do that I dont want to and cant figure out what I do want to do.

We just got back from playing Minature Golf. It was fun but interesting with two kids fighting constantly. I have had it with the fighting and have threatened that we will go home tomorrow if it continues. They are making me nuts and tearing up my stomach.

The meeting with Jodie and Michele and Jason is tomorrow at 11:00.

Thanks everyone. :) I'm feeling better. After a few sessions with my heating pad, my back is close to normal. :) Well, as normal as it is for me with six screws back there.

Just about to find dinner, but wanted to say howdy first. Hope you all had a good day today!! I would offer to go shopping, but I only have a $25 GC to TDS. Anyone wanna help me spend it? :)

Dinner calls... ketchup w/ ya'll later! :)

Hi all! Sorry I sort of disappeared today. I decided today was the day for me to go buy a new leather coat (mine is about 7-8 years old) so I did. They were having 1/2 off sales all over the place and I got a nice coat with zip out lining for only $150  I still think that's too much for a coat but considering I paid about $200 for my old one, I feel good :p

I saw someone mention yepod's name I think and wondering if he was around. I got a PM from him not too long ago about the pictures I took and was e-mailing him a few times just before Christmas. Oh he last posted just before Christmas too I believe. He didn't go to DISCon though (much to my dismay because I so enjoy hanging with him) but was there in November I believe. He's probably just busy right now :)

Pam and Jay, I hope you are feeling better soon!

Hi Everyone!!!

Elaine-I can't remember if John said he was going away for the holidays but I'm sure he'll be back by Monday for the riddle:D

Laura, I think you might be right... I think he might have gone somewhere for the holidays (or at least not been able to post). I do recall him saying that now although shame on me for forgetting it ;) You just reminded me too... I have to get up early tomorrow to catch the riddle... normally I would be at work but not tomorrow :bounce:

Well, I had a great time at the Mall--or should I say at TDS!! LOL!!! I got a royal blue Tinkerbell sweatshirt 50% off, the Lilo and Stitch DVD and pre-ordered 101 Dalmations II. For spending $40 or more, I got a Stitch as a Dog plush toy for free and for pre-ordering the dalmation movie, I got the free lithographs (4), a $10 gift card for TDS and a coupon for $5 off any purchase over $25 made between Jan. 21st and 28th! I think I made out pretty good!!!

Jay, I'm so sorry your back is not feeling good. Sending some nice warm pixie dust for you to lie in and feel better. Glad to hear you enjoyed the IMAX. Although, how could you not? TLK is such a great movie to begin with!! Looks like we're gonna drive up to Baltimore on Saturday to catch it. Not showing here in DC:mad:

All right, Nancy, I'm clueless. This is the bracelet that Elaine was talking about last night? Would you please direct me to the website so I can see? As a confirmed shop-aholic and jewelry lover, it sounds like something I might want to add to my wish list!

Jennifer, just think, it may cost money to play the bracelet game, but once we get started, it gives us an easy answer when somebody asks what we want for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, birthday, Christmas, anniversary, and any other day we might deserve a little present!! "Oh, just a new charm for my bracelet, please"

Pam, I've missed seeing you around the Lodge! I'm so sorry your noggin is hurting! Beth tiptoes quietly into Pam's room with a tray of Nancy's cookies, a cup of cocoa with a peppermint stick in it and an assortment of headache remedies for Pam to take her pick. Placing the tray on the bedside table, she notices a bit of a chill in the room since the sun has gone down. So she tucks an extra comforter around her friend, lights a fire in the fireplace and just as quietly tiptoes out, leaving a Do Not Disturb sign on the doorknob. Hope you feel better soon!

Hi, Karen! You want us to call out the Ya Ya enforcers to throw cheetos at those rotten little rugrats? Just when you're getting that tummy calmed down and able to eat like a normal person again, they have to go and stir things up! NOT FAIR!!!!

Elaine, that sounds like such a deal you got on that new coat! I think $150 is very good for real leather and zip out lining, to boot!
Is it basic black or brown or did you get one of the newer colors?

So, Jay, when somebody suggests you may have a screw loose, they could be right?!!

Kim, put on that hula skirt and let's get to dancing!! DH just got home with the DVD player and we can watch Lilo and Stitch!!

Okay...Kim...Elaine. what kind of finish do you have on the bracelet?
Have you seen "in person" the different ones? What do you think?
And do you hae any of the charms that are on that site?

Okay....I better stop this.....I won't sleep again ;)

Off to obsess over Yankee candles.

Another site to go to that has more than just Zoppini is www.dollsandducks.com I haven't ordered anything online yet but these give good ideas as to a few other names out there. I admit I have put at least $100 in this bracelet over the course of the 6 months but I get a charm here and a charm there and sometimes nice people give them to me as gifts :teeth:

My jacket is boring black. I wear a lot of black and dark gray for work, so I wanted something that would go with everything more or less. I guess I have also been "boring" so long that I figured I ought to stick with it... plus I just recently bought new black leather gloves so I had to match. Tomorrow I think I need to find a new hat though. Mine just doesn't cut it. I do think that $150 isn't too terrible but I hate spending money like that. If it does give me many good years out of it though I will be happy. I just finished treating it too so that ought to help keep it happy for a while :)

Beth it sounds like you have some nice buys there!!! I think I might have to go to TDS tomorrow and pick up a few things (some antenna toppers to name a few :p)

Oh my..............now tell me, if I bought a charm on the Zoppini site so I could get the free bracelet, can I buy Disney charms from the other site and they would fit?

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone! They helped, I've seemed to kick most of the headache! I woke up with it this morning and was so sick in Church I thought I was going to throw up. Went out to eat with DS (DH was out in the wilderness and DD went to BF's) and felt lousy the whole time. Came home, posted here and then hit the sack!

Hope Jay's back is feeling better.

Elaine,
Thanks for the help with the internet router - that Radio Shack guy was a bozo.
I'll call the cable company tomorrow to verify the facts and then go to Comp USA.

I've been doing an internet search for beaded prom dresses for DD - found several brand new ones on eBay - bookmarked them so she can check them out.

I have several charm bracelets from the 70s and 80s.

So - what is everyone doing for New Year's Eve? My teens are having friends/BF over. DH always conks out and snores.

Pam

I *KNEW* when I posted this that someone would have this comeback. Yet again, the Ya Ya's don't let me down. :p Ironically, the day after surgery, I talked to my mom (in FL) and the first thing I told her was "no cracks about me having a screw loose!" :p

Back to the hockey game.... The Stars are playing the Red Wings. So far the Wings are winning, so my boss will be happy.

Beth you are correct! I have several many different brands on my bracelet right now and as long as they are all the same width they will fit. Most out there are the standard size and if they aren't you will be told that they are either the small or large and you will be able to see the difference.

Pam, glad to have helped. I didn't say it, but Radio Shack people are rather a bunch of nitwits when it comes to computers (in general) they just don't have the training in that area honestly. I did forget to say what the other guy said too. The computers do not interface with each other at all... just the modem. I said what I did because Macs are usually the hardest to get something like that to work with (a modem in general). Normally I recommend Linksys, but they weren't very Mac friendly. Good luck setting that all up!

Jay, forget hockey!!!! Stay and talk with us instead :p

Yep, I like the bracelets. How many links do you have and do you wear it snug or loose? I think I would want it kinda snug, like a watchband. Some of those Disney charms are just adorable!! And Nancy & I want to know what finish you have.

BTW, when I was at the mall today, I deliberatly stopped at the Hallmark store to see what you guys were talking about. They don't carry them there. Oh well....I shop online quite well too!!!

"Eeyore Kim" dropping by again. :( So far I've managed to vacuum up an army of ants (twice)...they've invaded my computer room... console a crying boy that didn't get to rent the video game he wanted, and successfully dodge any and all housework for the day. Am I talented 'ur whut?!

Beth, as Elaine said most all of the charms will fit the standard bracelet. I have heard that some of the cheaper ones are not interchangeable with the Italian bracelets, but don't know that for a fact. There are three sizes (widths) but the other two sizes are not readily found...the common width you find almost anywhere are almost all interchangeable. I have two Disney charms and they both fit my Zopinni bracelet just fine. :) Nancy, I do have several of the charms shown on that website, and they're all very nice. I have one of the turquoise gemstones, the Sagittarius symbol, the Olympic rings, :p the A with the CZ, the little white dog bone, the coffee cup, the smilie face, plus a few that are not Zopinni brand but seem to be holding up just fine. :)

Ok... so no one had any suggestions about what might be wrong with my CD drive. Bummer. :(

Gonna go downstairs and mope some more. Man it'll be nice to feel happy again. :(

Hi Pam! Glad to have you back with us!! So sorry your day started out so icky. Little nappy poo helped, huh? Good, good, good! For New Year's Eve, I think DH and I will be doing a movie marathon or something so we can stay up just as late as possible (we usually konk out by 10:30!) then sleep as late as possible. DH is working night shift the 1st & 2nd so he can have the day off on the 1st--it's our anniversary.

Jay, I'm glad I could be predictable, but sorry I made you feel  Should have known that would be a tired old joke for you. Can I offer you a chocolate rum ball or two to make up for it? I'll cheer for your favorite hockey team too, if you like, although I'm a Phila. Phantoms (AHL) and Flyers fan myself. (I married a guy from Jersey and he's the one who introduced me to hockey)
